If you think you can't afford the Amalfi coast, think again. Lucrino is 14 km North of Naples in an area called Campi Flegrei built on a dormant super vulcano. There are quite a few archaelogical and geologicap sites around, including Baia, the ancient Roman's Las Vegas.it is brilliant if you don't want to hire a car, which is quite expensive in Italy. It's next door to one of the station of the Cumana railway, 30 mins from central Naples. Prices in local bars where not inflated like in Sorrento or the islands. I love spas and Le stufe di Nerone is less than a km away. I went twice and covered myself with clay. My skin now looks so good! The owners are really relaxed and friendly. This is a budget family run hotel that's been going for years. Like home from home.

We stayed at the hotel for one night and really enjoyed it. The hotel has lots of charm with beautiful furniture and a traditional style of the area. The room was on the side of the sea and we could hear the waves in the evening which was beautiful! The room was very clean and the owners very friendly - one feels like visiting family. Thank you very much !

It was very near to the station and was clean. The bed was comfy.

The road on the “lake view” side was really loud, even with earplugs people would honk horns at all hours. The building is quite old which is nice in some ways but in others could do with improvement.

The owners were really, really nice people.

The property is located right on the beach and at the cumana train station. Many restaurants in walking distance. The place is kept very clean. The only minus - there is no Wi-Fi in the rooms. It is a small family run hotel. I would come back there.
