Het hotel is goed gelegen. Dichtbij het station en op 10 à 15 min van alle leuke restaurantjes of eventuele bezienswaardigheden.

De eerste nacht kwamen we op een kamer terecht waarbij we die avond geen oog hebben dichtgedaan. Het gebouw heeft slechts enkele beglazing, dus je hoort alles. De radiotoren hangen buiten onder de raam en de moskee hoor je heel hard in de nacht. We hebben dit aangegeven, en kregen een nieuwe kamer. Hier ook nog steeds veel geluid. Het personeel sprak gebrekkig Engels, niet handig. De hygiëne kon ook beter, vooral de badkamer.

It was close to the center. The room was clean. They gave us a double bed room instead of singel beds as was on the confirmation. Because of a misunderstanding.

There were ants in the room and we didn’t had a nice view. They didn’t do any special decoration in the room because it was our honeymoon trip. We informed them in advance. They told us afterwards that we should pay for that request.

Finishing in the room could have been a little better, particularly the bathroom with the ledge and no shower door.

Location is excellent. 15 minutes away in a straight line from Malioboro Street and close to several tourist hotspots. Also across the street there is an excellent (and extremely cheap) Caffe/Bowl restaurant that may be appealing to Western tourists.

This is not what I consider a 4-star hotel. Closer to a 3-star or 3.5 at most. The sink in the bathroom was not in good shape. It wouldn’t drain water normally, as if maintenance had not been good. The two days we had breakfast included we needed it for takeaway. Good thing: they had it even at 3.45 am. Bad thing: the breakfast was awful. No coffee. Two slices of non-toasted bread with something ressembling jam that could not be spread normally (it came in a plastic bag, not sure how we were supposed to spread it?) Only highlight was a (one) boiled egg. All the rest was sub-par with what one expects from a 4-star hotel. Pretty uncomfortable (no plastic knife/spoon, seriously?) and untasty overall. Also we didn’t have enough body wash soap nor toilet paper rolls, which we had to explicitly request. Also our room’s orientation was towards a neighboring house/room from which we could see people in their sofas. Not pleasant. We had to “live” with our blinds down all the time.
