We thoroughly enjoyed the property. We picked this property because it was on a lake and it had a fenced yard for our dogs. We found when we arrived that the front and back of the property were both fenced with the option of blocking access between the front and back. Our dogs had a blast being able to run the full length of the property. The dock on the lake had a great seating area with chairs that we did some quality sunset watching as well as stargazing. There's also a boat ramp that made it super easy to launch our kayaks. The house is a perfect size for a family of 4. The beds were all very comfortable and there was plenty of tools in the kitchen to cook for the family. We would definitely visit again.

We enjoyed our stay ~ 3 adults, the family pup, and 6 month old baby. We all love to cook and did find the kitchen area a bit small. Beds are firm and couches are comfy & there is plenty of HOT water when it comes to shower time. Enjoyed rocking the baby out on the deck. Everyone agreed we will stay again.

Amazing week in a beautiful home! Such a quiet peaceful location. The house is very cozy, clean and comfortable. Sofas are great for lounging. We loved the view of the lake, the large deck and yard, and the convenience of having our boat right at the dock. The location is convenient to town when we needed supplies. Thanks for a great stay!

This was our 2nd time staying here. The view is great, neighborhood is quiet, and the house has everything we need for a relaxing week away from home. Dawn is a fantastic host and responds quickly if you have any questions. Definitely recommend!!

Well kept peacefull place. Wish a pontoon had nit been parked at the pier for we brought a boat also and a seadoo at the other end left no where for kids to fish and play is my only only complaint.

What a fun, albeit it cold and wet, long holiday weekend. Dawn's home is in a very convenient, easy to access location. Water depth at dock and from put in to dock were good for accessing with boat. The view from the deck, living room, and master bedroom are simply stunning. Nice area to wake board right out in front of the house. Great fenced in yard for the pup to run around while hanging out with family. AND her flowers are beautiful!!! She was a great host, quick to respond when I asked questions and she went above and beyond to make our long weekend extra special. When you have the option, choose this one and you are sure to have wonderful time! Thanks Dawn, we will be back (unless we buy our own place first) :)

We thoroughly enjoyed our getaway to High Rock. The house was perfect with everything we needed. Great view, great deck and dock.very relaxing! Will certainly look to return in the near future.

Absolutely loved it! Dawn is awesome. East to contact and very prompt response time. Beautiful dock in backyard sitting on prime time fishing location. Caught my first ever Striper & personal best size Blue Catfish right off that dock. They allow pets so my brother got to bring his dog which was terrific. My son almost 2yrs old loved running in backyard and was able to fish with us. On a scale of 1-10 I rate it a 12.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Exactly what we were looking for! Our furry 4 legged girls enjoyed the fully fenced yard, we enjoyed the view and the cozy home. Bed was comfortable, towels plush & thick, shower was hot! Made full Thanksgiving dinner w all the trimmings, watched Christmas movies, football & did jigsaw puzzles. Saw a bald eagle twice! Easy to get to from Charlotte. Communications w owner were easy, clear & responsive. Thanks for letting us stay!

Great Lake house with everything we needed. Super peaceful. We enjoyed the patio and the dock. Everybody caught a fish! Within a short drive to grocery store and local restaurants. We will be back again.

This is not our first trip staying at this property and won't be our last either.

This house felt like home. Dawn was great to work with and the house was very comfortable. The neighborhood was very quiet and safe. We were shocked that even on a holiday week, none of the neighbors were around. It felt like we had the lake to ourselves the whole time. I loved how everything was gated for the safety of our pup (and would be a great place for children, as well).

The host is very responsive and answered the few questions I had quickly. There is a Walmart & Food Lion close by where we did our shopping just before checking in. Comfortable house with plenty of room where you need it! Large living room with abundant seating. My kids said the beds were the best they have ever slept on (firm yet comfortable). The bathroom is on the smaller side but would only be an issue if you have limited mobility and need to use a walker. The deck has a glorious view with ample seating for a family. We enjoyed eating our meals out there listening to the water. The stairs leading down to the short walkway to the pier are slightly steep but again, only an issue for those with limited mobility. The pier has seating if you just want to soak up the sun but we dove right into the water! Very quiet and safe neighborhood. The entire week we were there, we never even saw another person with the exception of boaters here and there. Very relaxing, tranquil vacation and we can't wait to go back next year! We've already looked to see if we could reserve the house again! Absolutely reccommend!

Great cottage with a wonderful deck and seating. Easy check in and very clean. Water level was up so there was no sandy beach and lots of floating debris. We swam off the dock and enjoyed the water from there. Great place for dogs with fenced in area.

We returned for another stay and, as usual, everything was wonderful! Very dog friendly and gorgeous sunsets across the lake. Highly recommend the property and the owner is very thoughtful.

I loved the deck so close to the water and the big stone counter height round table. Very nice evening views and quiet mornings. Only about 14 or 15 minutes to I-85 was nice and easy . Perfect for my needs .

I didn’t actually stay here. I rented this lovely house for my kids and their family. They said they really enjoyed it. My son-in-law did say the kitchen could use some bigger bowls. He was trying to make a big pan of dressing and couldn’t find bowls big enough. Loved the view! Would recommend this place to anyone that would like to stay on High Rock Lake!

Fabulously dog-friendly property on a gorgeous lakefront. Master bedroom has spectacular views along with living room and huge deck. Boat dock was a wonderful spot for dog swims. Absolutely can't wait to come back!!

Property clean and in a beautiful location! Fishing off of pier was not really as expected -- we brought our boat as planned -- however, owner's pontoon boat and jet ski were docked at the pier and a 2nd jet ski docked at the "beach area" -- only leaving one spot for our boat --- no place for us to just sit and fish off of the pier -- that was disappointing -- otherwise a great trip.

Property was exactly as described. It was very peaceful with beautiful sunsets. We got lucky with weather in the 80's in Oct. Property is within 30 mins. to many wonderful activities. Antiques, hiking,parks and great little towns. Definitely recommend Gold Hill, its an old mining town that has some kind of event every month. It is like a walk back 100 years in time, with one of the bezt little coffee shops. Would definitely recommend stay at the High Rock property.👍👍👍
