I was made to pay some days in advance and was denied check in on arrival.
As per a message that I received on booking.com, they had done the check in in my name and probably allotted the room for some other person/purpose possibly impersonating me.

The staff refused to even give me an explanation on the possible fraud that had happened where they took money from me and checked in without ever informing me. I suspect some foul play since the room was technically used by me whereas I was not even allowed inside.

This hotel is only for Indian nationals... They should really give that information on booking.com instead of on arrival.

Never book your stay in this horrible and cheap mentality place. They have no regards for customers, no manners. I feel that safety is also an issue. Look for another place instead. The Inn reception manager Rajesh, is a very rude and rigid person. He does not understand your issues and lies and complicates matters. When asked he would not give the contact number for the owner to speak to. After a lot of argument and shouting the owner did come down from upstairs but was not helpful and was taking the side of the manager. She even said that this is typical Indian mentality. I wonder what mentality does she have living in India.
There were three issues which I raised - 1). why did they charge me more than what my booking on Booking.com showed. I wanted to know the breakdown of the charged amount during check-in. They could not tell and insisted it has come from the top level of OYO. 2). I was asking for a formal receipt for my payment but they refused saying you will get it online. 3). They refused to provide breakfast which was included in my original booking saying that we do not do breakfast at all, although it even shows pictures of breakfast on the booking site. When asked for a refund for the breakfast money they said you have to ask Booking.com.
There was a lot of heated arguments back and forth and I had to face a load of verbal insults and foul language. I felt threatened and insecure. It is a very cheap atmosphere there.
Even on complaining to the customer service of the main OYO office nothing happened, no resolution after repeated calls and discussions. All the blame was put on Booking.com for not giving the correct details on their website for this place and I was told to sort out with them.
No breakfast, no lifts, no beach front, the beach is about 15 - 20 minutes walk away. No tea making facilities, they charge for tea and bottled water. The place does not have many amenities around.
Never book here. Bad experience. Unprofessional people.

Complete SCAM! When we arrived at the check in, they asked us for almost twice as much money as the amount shown in the booking . We had to contact customer service and spend a lot of time until they accepted the price that was shown in the booking. They wanted to take advantage of the fact that we are foreigners to lie to us.
On top of that , there was a horrible noise coming from the toilet room, which came from an air conditioner , which was not turned off until very late in the night , which made it impossible to sleep. last but not least, we had to kill some cockroaches… disgusting
