The house is excellent and it is the second one I have been there with my family and the same problem is with the neighbors, they are very annoying and like to bother you, but from there on out the house is super good.

What an amazing pool. The kids were obsessed! It was big enough for all our floats and room to spare for swimming. Only quirk was the crabs that fell in at night. Unfortunately most died before I could get them out in the morning.
The beds were super comfy but my kids were not a fan of the cots.
We would definitely stay here in the future!

Everything about this house is great. It was clean and roomy and had all the essentials needed for our sisters weekend. Unfortunately it rained the whole weekend we were there and we were not able to use the pool much. Thankfully there is lots of covered areas so we were able to be outside despite the rain. We will definitely be back next year!

The house was great. My family enjoyed the sites and beach but coming back and hanging in the pool made the night end great. Owners were very responsive and made sure we were good to go.

We really enjoyed the stay at this property. While the weather wasn't ideal during our stay we had a great time and the property had many amenities that made our stay comfortable and convenient. The owner was quite helpful and checked on us via text during our visit to make sure we were ok during some bad weather that knocked out the power for about an hour one evening.
The home is just minutes from the beach and there is convenient on-beach parking nearby. The pool area was very nice. The kitchen and bathroom facilities were clean well equipped. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much.
Some things to be aware of:
1. There are no supermarkets nearby. There are convenience stores, but the selection is limited and you will pay convenience store prices.
2. You will probably want to drive to the beach as to get there on-foot you will have to cross a busy highway.
3. If you have identity theft concerns - the owner requires you to text him a picture of your driver's license before providing access to the property. While I understand this, I have concerns with pictures of my ID in the cloud or on someone else's phone.
4. While clean overall - two of the beds had sand on the sheets when we arrived. There were other sheets available, but they smelled of perspiration and needed to be washed before changing the bed. I'm sure this was an oversight by the cleaning people.
Overall a great place and would recommend it to family and friends.

No pictures can do this home and pool justice. Everything was beautifully decorated, beds were new and very comfortable, the shower upstairs was incredible, water pressure was strong, but the pool??? The pool was an apartment sized and crystal clear with fountains. All furnishings outside were new and in amazing shape. There was a nice propane grill and anyting you can think youll need as far as kitchen supplies.

The house and property are located in a quiet neighborhood a few blocks from the beach. Interior is roomy and well kept. The pool was great and the area around it was furnished with several chairs and tables. There were no disappointments and the owner was very prompt in assisting and answering any questions. Would absolutely stay again.

My sister and I have traveled to Galveston many summers with our families and this house was the perfect set up! We loved all the outdoor space. Everyone had a great time in the pool and the parents really appreciated the lift. It was a great time had by all and we hope to visit again!

Overall, the house was exactly how it's pictured! It was beautiful and in a great neighborhood, very close to the beach and bay!
The only thing we had an issue with was the "basic soaps" and toilet paper/paper towels that were supposed to be provided. The soaps were so watered down that they were pretty much of no use. We had to go buy paper towels and toilet paper within the first couple days, because their wasn't enough and we ran out. The laundry detergent also seemed watered down and there was barely any in the bottle. Being that the house is 18 miles from the closest reasonable grocery store, this was an inconvenience.
We loved Galveston! Loved the house! Greg was easy to communicate with and got right back to me when we had questions! We would love to visit again!

This is our third time at Doug’s beach house and we absolutely love our time there. The house is clean, the kids love the pool, and Doug is easily available to answer any questions. Hope to be back next summer.

Large community space, good sized pool. Kitchen well stocked, easy to cook in. House could have been cleaned more thoroughly before our stay but it was sufficient.

Well stocked home, pots pans dishes bedding the whole 9 yards. Nice pool. Outdoor shower.. lots of lighting in the home is the well appointed custom home. We will be back

We really enjoyed! Pretty clean, there were some spots that were overlooked but for the most part it was clean. There were also some bugs, mostly gnats I believe but other than that this is a nice home that’s comes with everything! Will keep in mind for next time!

The house far exceeded my expectations! The pictures do not do it justice. Beautifully decorated and well maintained. The pool and the sun decks were our main reason for booking and they did not disappoint! Definitely will go back!

Amazing Get Away!
Everything about this property was amazing! Doug was great! My husband spoke with him on the phone and said he was a very nice man! My kids loved the pool and just wanted to stay at the house the whole time! We recommend this place and hopefully we will be back!

The house was great the location was in a good quiet place the only thing that was missing was a TV in the third bedroom but everything else was great.

Great Family Vacay!
Galveston is nice relaxed place to vacation. And, the Beach2Bay is a beautiful home and the pool is absolutely wonderful. The house has all the amenities PLUS the cargo lift which really came in very handy. We really had a fun time and took advantage of the pool and the grill, the ample kitchen and dining area, and the comfy sectional in the living area. The major attractions such as the Moody Gardens, Pleasure Pier, the restaurants and the historic district are about 20 miles away. That was the only negative. Nonetheless, we certainly enjoyed and recommend the Beach2Bay. And we also recommend Galveston Island as a family friendly place to visit.

Fun getaway
Beautiful home! We had so much fun in the pool and grilling outside. The home was clean and plenty of room. The pool area was so accommodating with all the seating. We really loved the upstairs private balcony to relax and the master bed was SO comfortable! The water wouldn’t get or stay very warm in the shower even all the way on hot, it was no problem, just had to shower quickly. The water also wouldn’t get warm in the kitchen. The neighbors aren’t very pleasant. But overall nothing took away from our perfect getaway for us! We’d love to come stay here again.

Great Home & Getaway!
I loved this stay! Definitely recommend! Plenty of space and privacy. Pool was great and beach is right down the road. I loved that all the little things I forgot such as cooking utensils or a wine bottle opener were available and I didn't have to buy anything! This house is certainly away from the "busy" part of galveston so if you need to run to the store your not exactly close by but I didn't mind.

Beautiful Beach House
We loved our stay at this beautiful beach house. The house is exactly like the listing. The communication with the property manager was easy and he provided some useful info due to the Irinman going on and we were unaware. So we appreciate he was so informative.
The cargo lift was a useful feature with us arriving late on Friday as we were all tired. The beds were super comfortable and plenty of fresh clean towels and linens. Do not pass uo this property as you will be thrilled with it.

Great getaway for kids and adults alike
The property is very family friendly: the kids had a great time at the pool and beach a short drive away. After driving to the strand to shop around, we knew we hit the jackpot for location for a relaxing and comfortable place to stay. Very private, clean, accommodating and convenient. 10/10 would recommend. 100% would rebook.
