We love Westwinds, we come every year. It’s our favorite location in San Destin. Our dryer didn’t work, so maintenance had to come to the room three times, but was unable to fix. We finally decided to wait until we left to send them back so we weren’t disturbed again. I found a laundromat to dry our clothes. Staff is always great & very friendly. The pool area desperately needs more umbrellas. There’s only 6-8 and people are always looking for an open umbrella to sit by.

This was a great location for our party of 6 adults. Easy to walk straight out to the private beach and quick driving distance to grocery stores, outlet malls, and restaurants. From the 8th-floor balcony, we were able to easily watch the Miramar beach-site fireworks display put on by the hotel a few buildings to the East of us. Many guests also went down to the beach where chairs were set up to watch. The unit was really clean and well-organized. There were a few boogie boards in the laundry closet, also 2 beach chairs, some sand pails & shovel. One thing worth mentioning is that there are no beach towels here, but they were very inexpensive at the local Walmart, so it was no issue. There were also no left-behind cooking supplies from past guests like salt/pepper, cooking spray, coffee filters, etc., as was the case at other rentals. You will need to supply all of that if needed. The property management was very courteous and responsive. We would consider this unit for a return trip.

This is a perfect location for a family vacation and an ideal setup with 3 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms. The condo was in excellent condition and the property management company reached out several times to insure our stay was enjoyable. This was a wonderful trip. Overall, great beach front location, clean and comfortable accommodations, and beautiful views. We were there mainly for the beach and heated pool and we cooked most meals.The location is exactly as described which is a short walk to the beach with ramp entrance. We brought a wagon to carry the provided beach chairs, toys, and umbrellas. The 8th floor views of the beach, daily sunsets, and dolphin spotting were so enjoyable. We packed a lunch and stayed all day at the shore. The condo was nicely decorated, had plenty of bath towels, and a starter kit for each sink area. We brought extra house supplies (especailly trash bags) knowing it was not a stocked condo. We loved our trip and stayed for an extra day.The Westwinds had crew updating the property which was nice to see and not obstructive in anyway. The pool is heated to a comfortable temperature. It was nice to dip in the warm pool after being in the cold ocean.Improvements:1. Oven mitts are defintely needed.Tips:1. Bring your own beach towels2. You can place your beach chairs in front of the rental chairs or in the large gaps between rental chairs. It wasn't crowded, plenty of empty rental chairs and we didn't block the view for anyone.3.The Southern Star Dolphin Cruise was a fun and large boat. Covered 2nd level and glass bottom. It was at half capacity (75 people) and easy to walk around the boat to see the dolphins.4. There is free parking at Baytowne Wharf. Follow the signs that say "Additional Parking". Just expect a 10 minute walk to the shops and restaurants. 5. We ordered curbside groceries in Pensacola while on our way to Westwinds. You can get groceries in Sandestin but alot of this will be out of stock or bad substitutions.6. I bought seafood at the Sea Market in Destin. Nice and helpful place.7. The walls are thin. You can hear loud voices across the hall and chairs being dragged on the floor above you. Be con

Lovely ocean view! Plenty of space for our group of 8. Kitchen has all the basic cookware but no spices etc. The grill is at the pool. Very easy access to the beach and pool. My only complaint is that there is zero information on what is available at SanDestin, what renters have access to, or any contact information. There is no office or contact at the building so you are on your own. We played tennis, rented bikes, went on a dinner cruise, went to music on the lawn, etc. If I had not been to SanDestin before I would have no idea it was available.

We very much enjoyed our stay! The resort property is beautiful! We had an excellent view of the pool and beach. Activities are plentiful and in walking-distance. Restaurants and shopping are a short walk or drive away. The condo was clean and well-appointed. My only complaint would be the fridge. It was warm upon arrival (4pm) and did not reach the proper temperature until midnight. We had to put our cold stuff in the freezer to avoid spoiling, and that meant we couldn't use it for a while. I called to report the issue and was told I would receive a call with an ETA for the repairman. I never received a call and gave up waiting around after 2 hours. The dishwasher also was broken. My husband was able to make it run, but hopefully it will be repaired soon.

Family vacation getaway. Wrap around balcony was just perfect for sunsets. The room accommodated all of our needs. They have a bunk room that our 2 1/2 yr old grandson loved. Unfortunately, we did not have cable service during our entire stay. Multiple attempts were made through property management. IT guy showed up twice but was not successful. So the World Series was viewed on our laptop. Overall we all had a good time.

The Westwinds and this condo were wonderful as expected. The condo was well supplied and comfortable with a beautiful panoramic view of the beach from 8 floors up. The checkin process was seamless and easy. Only complaint was the coffee pot, it needs to be replaced and a keuring option would have been nice. As for the Sandestin property it was amazing! We rented bikes at the marina for 3 days and toured the property which was my wife’s favorite. We even participated in the tennis and pickleball round robins on separate days at the Tennis Center.
Overall this property was an excellent choice for our family summer vacation!!

We loved our stay in Miramar Beach. Staying at Westwinds was very convenient. We used the tram to travel to the Baytowne Wharf several nights. The room was gorgeous and very clean. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful location, gorgeous view. Rooms were clean. The shower tub did not drain but maintenance came that day and fixed it. The garage code on the app was not correct. The night team for myvacationhaven were very unhelpful, fortunately ran into someone else in the building that gave me a random code but the issue was fixed easily the next day. Beach closet has old chairs that were not in great condition-bring your own chairs! Limited cooking supplies but plenty of dishes and glasses.

The condo was nice and loved the decor. The cleaning team needs to look a bit harder jam was on chairs and tables on balcony. We also had av wry hard time with the code to get in garage and building which took two hours to retify. That is unacceptable and we had to cancel a birthday celebration because we could not get in. The bathroom that is across from bunk bed, the shower did not drain well at all. All shower heads had no pressure. My vacation haven did not seem to concerned with us being able to get onto the property on our first night. I would like a refund for that day but was a 5% off my next stay not acceptable. I would recommend this property if they fix the shower issues. The screen door to balcony was falling apart.

We loved this property. We have stayed at Westwinds before and had a great experience so we decided to come back this year. Our unit had a beautiful very large balcony overlooking the pool and beach/ocean. The unit was very clean and plenty of space for our whole family. My kids really loved the bunk beds.

This was an amazing location for our first vacation with our baby. Beautiful view of the water in all the rooms. Clean interiors and comfortable furniture. My only complaint was that the condo was pretty dusty. Both my husband and I are extremely allergic to dust, so that wasn’t too fun. Besides that, we would rent this property again.

Great view and location. Was perfect size for our family of 7. The xtra beach chairs and beach toys was a plus!! Only suggestion would be to provide some baking sheets to be able to cook in the oven. Really enjoyed our stay!!

Perfect location, unresponsive management company
We booked this property for 8 moms for 3 nights/4 days.
Pros: This condo faces a beautiful beach. The location is perfect. The beach is beautiful with clear water, clean, and wasn't overly populated when we visited. The pool suited our needs as well and was clean. The unit was adequately stocked (with the exception of a cookie sheet to be able to cook stuff in the oven and some items mentioned below that the cleaning crew missed restocking which happens sometimes, no biggie). If you're looking for a condo that faces a beautiful beach, I would recommend this spot.
Cons: The management company, Vacation Haven, was unresponsive. Prior to our arrival, the company communicated with me via text including a message the day before check in stating the condo wouldn't be ready till 6:00 PM (check in was supposed to be 4:00 PM). I responded saying that was fine, we'd hang out at the pool until ready. The next day, upon arrival, I checked to see if it would still be 6:00 PM and also received a response (just referencing the fact that they were initially responsive). Once we were in the unit, I reached out to let them know that there were only 6 wrist bands in the room (note that we booked for 8) and that there were no trash bags or dishwasher pods in the room. No response. I sent another message, sharing pictures of a filthy white comforter as it clearly wasn't washed after the prior guests left (huge dark spots all over of what appeared to be something spilled all over it) and we couldn't use it. No response. I sent another message the next day, asking that they confirm that they received my messages as I didn't want to get charged for the missing bracelets (it indicates you will get charged for lost bracelets). No response. I then sent an email, thinking that might be better. No response.
The listing indicates it sleeps 10 people. There are 2 king sized beds, 1 bunk bed with has 2 full sized mattresses, and a pull out couch. In order to sleep 10 people, you would need 2 people in each king bed (totally understandable), 2 people on the sofa sleeper (reasonable), but you would also need to have 2 people sleep on each bunk bed mattress (4 people total on the 1 bunk bed, note that it's not 2 sets of bunk beds). That's not realistic. There was no way that we were going to be able to sleep 4 adults on a bunk bed. If you have 4 kids on the trip, this might work (even kids might not want to squeeze in like that though).

Awesome rental for families
This was the perfect home for our family get together. The layout was ideal along with the beach access and multiple pools that provided countless hours of entertainment for our kids. The condo was in excellent condition and perfectly clean. Great central location between Destin and 30A. My family loved Baytown Warf as well. We hope to return again soon

Beautiful Condo
This was a beautiful condo in a perfect location. The views were fantastic from every room, the condo was beautifully decorated, and the furniture was excellent (not saggy or sunken in like in other rentals). The only issue we had was with the top bunk in the kids room not having been cleaned, as there was hair all over it and bits of food as well. We had trouble getting word about when this would be resolved. Although the property manager called me back immediately, we were given a vague “It will be cleaned tomorrow.” with the promise to call back with a more specific time frame (we had another family joining us so we needed it cleaned ASAP.) We were never given a return call and thankfully the bed was cleaned while we were out at dinner and before anyone needed to sleep in that bunk. The final day of the trip we received a text about extending our stay for one more night and when I called to inquire about that, the person answering the phone was going to see if it was actually a possibility and was going to call me back- never got a call back. Very minor complaints, but could be frustrating if these were more pressing issues. The condo itself was wonderful and I would highly recommend staying here, just don’t expect much from the management company.

Fantastic Summer Condo
We had a great time staying in this condo. We had 6 adults, and it was a very comfortable space. The views are beautiful, and the updates are really nice. The only problem we had was that the button for the garbage disposal would drip water and set off the water sensor under the sink. This shut down all water to the unit, and we’d have to call to get it turned back on. It took 3 or 4 times of this happening before we figured out that it was the disposal button. We ended up putting a towel over the button, and that stopped the water from turning off. It was just a minor inconvenience. Overall, it was a great unit.
