I recommend with all confidence, the people are hospitable and very kind.

The hotel has a rooftop restaurant that offers a good breakfast and amazing views of Kathmandu. The staff members are friendly and helpful. Basu helped us organise our trek to EBC including a private Jeep to Jiri, a dependable porter, permits, and flights back from Lukla. He also picked us up from the airport free of charge when we arrived in Kathmandu. We highly recommend this hotel.

Good location in the middle of the markets and not too far from the airport. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a powerful hot shower. The staff were absolutely lovely and even made me a takeaway breakfast when I had to leave early in the morning for my flight. The food on the rooftop restaurant was also great.

To me the best thing is that it’s in Thamel, but not on the main roads, so it’s very peaceful there, and the staff is amazing

This is a very good budget hotel. It's warm, comfortable and safe for a solo traveler. This is the second time I have stayed here.

The water in the shower didn't smell too good the first time I turned it on, but it was OK the next time.

The location is ideal if you want to stay near the happening area in thamel. Heated rooms clean and helpful staff.

If you try to enter after 5-6pm it became difficult to enter this area due to traffic police not allowing indian car

I stayed at Hotel Nepalaya for three nights before going trekking and for two nights after, and the hotel let me keep the luggage not needed for the trek in their storage room. My room was clean and spacious, and wifi worked well. Breakfast was great. The location in Thamel is very convenient, close to good places, but nice and quiet. I would stay here again.

Great location in Thamel, right in the centre but set back slightly so the room was quiet. Nice rooftop and good breakfast. Rooms contained all the amenities you need - kettle, fridge, TV etc. Wifi worked well. Staff were lovely

Rooms were a little ‘tired’, the sink leaked slightly, the aircon started dripping very easily, room was very humid so towels didn’t dry overnight - tbh all minor and didn’t really bother us

I always choose to stay here and back again as it is so good according to price, have elevator, breakfast and other facilities. Mr. Basu Rimal is very helpful.

The location in Thamel is great. The reception is helpful. I needed an airport transfer and they arranged it quickly. Staff is friendly.

Breakfast is below average. They really try, but are definitely not there yet. There was one nighg of noise from 1.30am to about 5.30am. Got fixed by staff - but it can be very noisy. "Girls" in the lobby - just 'hanging around' are very questionable.

If you’re looking for a hotel near Thamel Place where many tours originate or want access to many shoping place or nightlife Hotel Nepalaya is perfect. Friendly and helpful front desk, clean and tidy room, spacious bathroom, and comfortable bed and pillows. The staff at this hotel are the best! The Hotel centrally and conveniently located. When I visit again I will stay with you, please make sure I get the same floor.
