Nice ,friendly, family run hotel. Lovely pool, comfy bed, quiet AC, and a television in room. Very convenient for the airport, and for the coast around Rio Formoso, and also near to the pretty town of Loule.

The price is not justified. The rooms have come down. The toilet brush was really disgusting. I did not feel comfortable.

Nice pool, room basic but comfortable and clean, breakfast adequate, staff (who are mainly the resident family owners) very friendly.

The small kitchen supplies only continental breakfast - beyond that there are a couple of standard vending machines with tea, coffee, fizzy drinks, sweets and water which is fine, but they could make a bit of money, and help guests who just want to stay in and have a light snack instead of going out for lunch/dinner, by having even some out-sourced rolls/pies etc., available for sale, although of course there is always Uber Eats.

Really nice staff let us enter the room over an hour early and ley us use what seemed to be the family garage so not for clients but they let us anyway and the pool was a touch 10/10

Our stay at Golda Sol was great, we enjoyed the friendly, welcoming staff and the quietness of other guests. The rooms are basic but clean and have AC. The swimming pool is large and well maintained, surrounded by beautiful scenery and a lovely garden. There’s plentiful parking around the hotel.

A continental breakfast with bread and croissants is an extra (nightly rates are quite low), but some guests might miss a cooked breakfast. Some areas are partially unfinished.

Lovely view of Faro and the sea. The staff were relatively friendly. There was plenty of space to park and it was free. However, it needed to be free given the price of the room.

I appreciate that supply and demand drive prices but this is the worse value hotel room I have rented for many years. 50€ would have been OK, not over 100€. The outside was grubby (cigarette butts, weeds and piles of bird faeces on the steps from the car park). It was disgusting and should be power-hosed clean. The handrail on the steps was also dangerously loose. Our triple room was more like a double but they had stuffed in a single bed, so it was very cramped. The towels were ancient and almost as thin as tissue paper. Many fixtures/fittings were very old and damaged: laminate peeling from furniture, broken or missing light bulbs, toilet seat damaged so not attached properly/loose etc. It was a disgrace for the amount they charged. I felt I had been well and truly conned. I will not return and suggest others think twice before booking unless the prices are incredibly low.

There was a strong sewer smell in the bedroom coming from the Toilets. The door doesn't block corridor noise. The Breakfast was really poor and highly expensive for what you get, it's just 1 slice of ham , 1 slice of cheap synthetic cheese, artificial juice and thats it, very very poor
