The property itself is a beautiful modern villa with great views overlooking the valley set in a quiet place on top of the hill. Apart from this, if you like constantly being watched by the owner/host Silvia who lives in Switzerland. Or If you love cleaning whilst on holiday, are happy to receive endless messages from the owner, have no flexibility to even move any loose outdoor furniture to suit your needs, are not able to cook your favourite dish in the kitchen, not allowed to rearrange any kitchen utensils in the drawers, buy your own cleaning products/toiletries, able to take your own rubbish bins down the road, etc. THIS IS THE PERFECT HOLIDAY VILLA FOR YOU. UNFORTUNATELY, my family's one-week stay in the Villa was not what we expected considering we paid a lot of money for this booking and received sub-standard treatment and service from the owner. Silvia is a nightmare to deal with, she is more fixated on the care of her Villa rather than the comfort of the guests. She needs lecturing on how to deal with customers better rather than her OCD attitude towards her property. She is in the wrong business is she doesn't even trust her guests.

Do not book this property if you are paranoid about being constantly watched. Cameras are everywhere including the pool area and overlooking the bathroom, outdoor BBQ, and rest areas. My family takes our privacy very seriously and I challenged Silvia (owner) after booking if there were CCTV cameras and she declared that there is CCTV on the driveways only for our safety. We discovered that there were a lot more cameras which we felt very uncomfortable. There was one occasion when Silvia WhatsApp messaged us to make sure we put away the parasol and seat cushions by the pool area after use as she was clearly watching us sunbathing. Very unpleasant experience especially since I have a young lady daughter and a disabled wife sunbathing enjoying the sun. If you're looking for a Home from Home holiday experience, this is not the place for you. The owner is more obsessed with the cleaning and the highest standard of upkeep of the villa rather than the comfort of the guests. No arranged cleaning on the final day so Silvia expected us to clean the villa throughout prior to check-out. The cleaning should have been arranged but it was done a day before which is bizarre. We are paying guests who are meant to be enjoying the holiday! Instead, we have spent the last part of our holiday cleaning your property and had your cleaner inspect the quality of our cleaning. Pathetic really! Silvia demanded the booking payments and a 700 euro deposit to be paid after booking. She handles the payment herself, rather than Booking.com which incurs additional bank transfer fees/charges on my part. Again, were not advised of the additional charges. We were also blamed for having broken the sliding door and master bedroom locks which we disputed. Also, rearranging the outdoor furniture for our needs i.e. sunbeds, deck chairs, and tables is not allowed. There is not much you are allowed to do in this place.

The property is lovely, although there were upper balconies there was no furniture on them so we could not use them . The bbq area is nice, and the grounds were pleasant.

The location of the property is very remote so you can't walk anywhere, also would not recommend for families with young children due to the expectation of the owner in terms of the property being kept in an immaculate state throughout a stay and we were contacted several times during the stay to check this. Access to the property is also very steep. We had some concerns regarding the number of cameras at the property.

The villa was located in a very quiet area with no other villas overlooking the property. It was set in very spacious grounds and the pool was fantastic and enjoyed by both adults and children. The views from the villa were sensational especially during both sunrise and sunset. The master bedroom was massive with a large and impressive en-suite. It was 5mins drive from the mar shopping complex which was also great. Silvia and her staff were extremely helpful throughout the booking process and our stay. We would 100% stay here again should the opportunity arise.

The view of Algarve was spectacular, and the grounds were superbly landscaped. View from the poolside was 270*, very quiet and peaceful as no neighbours nearby, so felt very private. Amazing location!!

The kitchen, although well equipped. The gas hob was in a very awkward positon if you wanted more than 2 rings on!
