So clean ! And newly renovated

Loved the heat pumps in each room too
We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment which has all the mod cons and 2 bathrooms but only 1 shower - huge bath in 2nd bathroom with no shower over top

Great location by the marina, with really nice views. Clean, tidy, and quiet. Easy walk to nearby restaurants. Free parking on site.

Large, colourful brick and tile building with many rooms having balconies and lovely views. Attractive and lots of parking. Clean and quiet and reasonable sized room with double bed and sofa bed, tea and coffee and in room fridge. View from the room was great (ask for a marina view) and the restaurant is directly next to the foyer - but it's a separate business, hence no inclusion option - As at March 2024 typical price of around $25 for a full breakfast. The location is great, very convenient to a small corner shop, several good restaurants and close to marina for short but lovely walks, dive shop / tours etc if you're wanting to go to Poor Knights. Also not too far to drive to reach excellent beaches (Whale bay and the walk to Matapouri beach is a must). Overall, a lovely place to visit for 2 - 3 days.
No breakfast included option, no sauna / steam room or hot tub. The pool looked small and cold, we didn't go in, but it looked clean and would be fine for children. Not sure about earthquake proofed building - but probably not a concern in Tutakaka?

Great room.
Half a roll of toilet paper and no extra rolls. No one at reception when I figured this out.
I was out all day and room had been cleaned but no extra toilet paper.
Booklet said room service. But there was no room service, had to go down and get it myself.
There was a empty beer bottle under the coffee table. Not from me.

The room was fantastic, huge bathroom, huge room. We had a balcony overlooking the marina, which was lit up at night and so relaxing. The TV had netflix on it and the tea/coffee was fully stocked. The hotel provided additional pillows at no extra cost. Staff were super friendly and helpful, and the restaurant downstairs was delicious!
Slightly pricey, but that's all!

My room was stunning and well appointed looking out over the marina
The food was less than great, apart from the breakfast. The dinner menu was sparce in choice and what I did choose turned out to be 5 black tasteless mushrooms and chunks of beetroot - I left most of it. An hour later I rang the restaurant as they advertised in the compendium that "room service" was available but when I asked to have a bowl of chips sent up I was told I had to go down and get them - not impressed with that

Clean, big room. Very comfortable.
Tried to checkin after hours, called about 5pm to advise. Message was not passed on. Tried calling 9pm as after hours ckeck in details not messaged or email, unable to get in contact with hotel. Had to call duty manager on arrival, they didnt know i was a late check in. Sorted quickly, but not happy tried calling a number of time later to no avail. Message says unable to get to phone someone will call you back shortly, but dont. Aside from check in issue, would stay again.

Clean and spacious, with lovely helpful staff. Checking in and out was easy. The food at the restaurant was delicious. Great location, walking distance to dive centre.
Free wifi was very slow. TV didn't work in our room.

the location and the staff ! The restaurant excellent food and staff
did not enjoy our stay,builders in working we knew about,it should be made clearer that the other side of the premises where the builders are working is the width of the corridor!plastic sheeting on the corridor covered in paint.had to change rooms as first one nothing like that described on booking .com.we booked for three persons only two of the sparse requirements towels mugs glasses etc, view of front car park not marina,as stated!
second room better view tv not working,could go on.will not stay here again and will certainly not recommend to anyone.
