Friendly staff, quiet location, hammock, comfortable beds

The shower/toilet combo didn’t drain and we had to walk in standing water. I think just providing a broom would work, and I’m sure staff would have taken care of it if we’d asked (we only showered the night before we left).

My bungalow was near reception which was fine but some are set up the hillside and be a struggle for less able visitors

great location, close to action but tucked away enough to provide peace and quiet, great views of the ocean from the upper bungalows

be careful, this property is open so locals walk through to see if you left your door open. I caught a woman trying to get into my room

After a mix-up with our rooms at Nest Hostel(our fault). We hiked across the island with a rake of luggage in the blistering heat. Stressed to the nines, we were in desperate need of a nice room and a welcoming host. And Happy Elephant Bungalows provided us with exactly that. The rooms are spacious and clean and cost just 15€... incredible. The host, Grkhi(I hope I´ve spelled that right) is inconceivably welcoming. A genuinely helpful man with a love for hospitality. An absolute bargain to stay in. We wanted somewhere to chill for 3 days that would be comfortable and that's exactly what we got. The owner is lovely, the shower has hot water & a hammock on the decking which is perfect for relaxing in. Would definitely stay again.

The curtains on the door need to be blackout. The sockets need to be updated, the plugs kept falling out of them because they've gone loose. Our door needs to be fixed as it doesn't close fully to the point where they meet.

The bungalows are really nice and comfortable, perfectly clean, the whole place is well maintained, the location is just perfect, and the owner, what an owner !!! Super friendly and super efficient, he can literally help you with anything you may need. Everything with him is clear, simple and efficient. From the scooter rental to the boat tour booking, you can trust him 100%. Definitely recommend this place to stay on the island! Thanks again for everything!

lovely wood bungalow located up koh rong surround by jungle threes 5 mint from the beach not high luxury but totally worth the money!

there is no a/c on the room but 2 fan that work perfectly we actually prefer it :)

Quite far from the nicer beaches and Koh Toch is still quite quiet due to covid whereas we were expecting a bit more to be going on

The cottage with sea view is just perfect! You can relax in your hammock, watch the sunrise, surrounded by nature! The host is super friendly and helpful!

Very comfortable bungalow in a great setting in the village but slightly away from the crowd. The amenities were basic but adequate for someone on a small budget. This is a place for people who don't mind the open air and don't freak out over a bug or two. Coffee provided in the room. Cats and dogs around to come visit on your balcony.

The place is still advertised as having wifi, but due to Covid and extremely high internet prices, wifi is not available even in most of the other businesses. Daily power cuts in the morning and afternoon.

Very friendly and helpful staff that accommodated our requests. The location is very central but far enough away from the beach so that you can have a quiet night's sleep, great value for money, and they have free water refills which is a plus!

You need to walk up a bit of a steep hill to get there but it's not too long and it's worth it!
