Having read some of the reviews, I was a little worried after I booked it! I shouldn't have been! It was ideal for work, as it was only 1/2 mile to travel. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. The bathroom was large and there was plenty of hot water. There was plenty of tea, coffee, sugar and milk for my 3 night stay. Yes it is on a dual carraigeway but it is is a 30mph road . I never had a problem crossing the road. If you are unsure or have children, the crossing is about 100metres away, not 1/2 mile as someone said in their review! The noise from the road is very minimal! I slept with the window open and never had a problem. The noise from the pub, well I can't comment on that as I heard nothing! (But my stay was mid week) Overall, very pleased with my stay and would not hesitate to stay there again if working nearby.

My only gripe is the room was a bit small and a chair and desk would have been good. Also, if I'm being really picky, a lick of paint would be nice.

The staff at the Bay Horse pub we’re very helpful on my first night, very friendly. The room was basic but good.

My second night staying here was terrible. The lovely pub that was relaxed and friendly the day before turned into a night club at 9:30pm until 01:30am, making the floor in the room literally bounce to the beat.

Good value, clean room.

Not a lot easy access

The heating would go off we tried to turn it down, and it wouldn't,nearly burned my hand. Never slept the whole night due to that. Also we couldn't charge our phones as no power to electric sockets. The room looked like an old storage room.

The room stank of smoke when I first arrived. The heating was on full blast and was way too hot! Meaning I didn't sleep at all the first night. The radiators are temp controlled but the one in the bathroom wouldn't turn down. The second night the pub below was having a karaoke night even with my headphones in turned up full blast I couldn't ignore the dreadful noise. Which didn't end till close to 1 am. I had to be at work at 5 am. What a dreadful place. I want some compensation frankly!

Very noisy. Music sounds from pub below very clear particularly when loud music played on Friday evening. Quite after 1pm.

No Wifi available, the room and the service was excellent, except for the check in. Check in was a bit clumsy. Aside this the facility is good, clean and the room cleaners were excellent.

No Internet facility, advert is misleading. Checking in and car park from across the Street. No food or drink area
