This restored historic house is in a perfect location--a short walk up the hill from all of the action. The house is well set up, including lots of amenities for young ones--books, blocks, etc. We loved the beach gear, with plenty of chairs, an umbrella with sand drill, and beach toys. Having both an enclosed sun porch and an open front porch was great!

We had a great weekend here in Saugatuck! The house was beautiful and the location makes morning coffee walks by the lake as easy as can be. Would definitely stay again!

Wonderful time celebrating our anniversary with our daughters and son-in-laws. House was perfect - clean and relaxing. Our host was super communicative. Enjoyed an afternoon sail, tasty dining, wonderful galleries, nice walks, and great porch conversations. Highly recommend this property as well as Saugatuck

We stayed here with our three children and had a great experience! The house was exceptionally clean and very spacious for the five of us. The two connecting family rooms made it easy for everyone to gather without feeling crowded but the kids could go use the loft space and upstairs bedroom when they wanted as well. Three full bathrooms was also a MAJOR plus! One minor suggestion would be to put a second TV upstairs but it wasn't that big of an issue since we were usually gone most of the day. The screened in porch is great for coffee in the morning and it was nice having a driveway to easily park and load/unload our luggage. The owners keep the house well stocked with everything we needed from trash bags and toilet paper to shampoo and soap, it felt very much like a hotel experience. They even had beach chairs and boogie boards in the shed we could use at Oval Beach.
The location is fantastic. You can walk right down the block and be on Butler street in a few minutes but you are far enough away that the neighborhood is still quiet and separate from downtown. Anyone who's been to Saugatuck knows being able to walk right into downtown without having to worry about parking is a huge advantage. The owners were very easy to get a hold of and made our stay very easy. I would highly recommend this house to anyone looking to stay in Saugatuck!

Can’t beat the location of this house. We felt right at home and appreciated Kathy letting us know about fireworks and the art fair in town.

The house on Main St was just what we needed for our 3 nights in Saugatuck. The house was the perfect size for 8 adults. Updates throughout the home made it obvious that the owners pay attention to detail. Added extras like k-cups, shampoo and body wash were greatly appreciated. One screened in porch and the front porch were an extension of the indoor living space. We had groceries delivered from both InstaCart and Walmart, so all we had to think about was having fun. Thank you to Kathy and Barry for providing an awesome place for us to make memories!

Wonderful home. Large and open area for family time. Three private bedrooms with bathrooms. Everyone truly enjoyed the front and back porches. Family meals easy to make in fully stocked kitchen. Special treats from our hosts.

We found the home exactly as advertised. Plenty of space and the bedrooms are all spread out. The home is bigger with more room than we expected. The screened porch off of the kitchen was perfect.
Bonus: 2 minute walk to downtown but quiet neighborhood.
We will definitely stay here again given the opportunity.

This property was perfect for our family of six adults and two children. The upper level is actually a suite, a large bedroom, a sitting area to read or or relax and a full bathroom. It’s completely private. The kitchen was very well stocked with all the little things that makes cooking at home possible. We grilled two nights. The farmer’s Market was wonderful for fresh fruits and veggies. The owners were available and receptive. Just a great place!

We had a great stay at hilltop cottage! It was spotless and every detail was thought of - coffee, cookies, and even fresh flowers were provided! Beds were very comfortable and we loved being so close to town for the Venetian festival. Thank you! We would stay again!

Property manager never sent codes to access the house and was unresponsive the day of check in. When we arrived she was still cleaning the house.

The Hilltop Cottage exceeded all of our expectations: super clean, best location - walking to downtown Saugatuck, porch was great. Kathy is very friendly and the place is well stocked with anything you would need + beach items! When we venture back to Saugatuck we hope to stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay at this comfortable cottage. Loved sitting on the front porch in the morning and enjoying the quiet neighborhood. Short walk to all the great restaurants and stores in town.

Excellent House in Excellent Location
The Hilltop Cottage was perfect for our girls getaway! The house had everything we needed and Kathy was great to work with. She checked in with us a few times throughout our stay to make sure we were happy and didn't need anything else.
We spent each morning on the screened in porch and it was just peak relaxation! It was an easy 1-2 block walk to the main downtown area, which had plenty of restaurants and shopping.

Everything was perfect and all five of us loved our stay in this hilltop cottage! The location was great and the home was the best equipped that I've experienced. Kathy and her husband were friendly and close by if needed, though we didn't need a thing! I highly recommend this home.

Great place for a family stay. Easily walkable to downtown Saugatuck. Screened porch is excellent for morning coffee. All the families had their own bathroom which was excellent for getting ready for the day. Furniture and decorations are very nice, the place was clean and tidy when we arrived. So many amenities available as well, trash bags, zip lock bags, dishwasher etc. It was a nice remodeled place. There were beach chairs available for us to take down to oval beach which was extremely thoughtful. Would definitely consider booking again it’s an excellent property and the host lives next door, so the communication was excellent.

We had a great stay at the Hilltop Cottage! Location couldn’t have been better. Just a few blocks from downtown. 5 adults and 3 kids and we had plenty of space and everything we needed in the house. We used the charcoal grill one evening and sat at the outdoor dining table. We loved the screened in porch as well.

We enjoyed another great family vacation in Saugatuck and were happy to return to “The Hill” for this trip. The location of the cottage is perfect. A short walk down the path, and you’re in the center of town with options for shops, food, and fun in either direction. The home is clean and updated with plenty of space and all that you need. We especially enjoyed the screened-in porch in mornings for coffee and evenings after a day at Oval Beach or an afternoon renting a boat, something we did for the first time and will be sure to do again. We just packed our stuff and walked down to the boat. Kathy was responsive and checked-in to make sure we had what we needed to ensure a pleasant stay.

Barry and Kathy were such amazing hosts! The house was clean, including the furniture, and it was just as advertised. Perfect location to town, yet far away enough to enjoy a few minute walk each time. We really enjoyed chatting our hosts, and sincerely appreciated their helpfulness and smiles. We even forgot a few clothing items in a dresser, and Kathy quickly mailed them back!
