location, clean rooms, great cafe

Location was nice & quiet, off the main street. A few drivers had difficulty finding exact location, but once you have a hotel business card, that helps. Food & staff were great! Everything tasted fresh and the staff is exceptional. Rooms were small, but cozy & comfortable. Windows were tighter and less drafty than many Nepali hotels. Great location for meeting colleagues over fantastic meals or just coffee & pastries.

Didn't like how early the front gates close; be aware of the closing time & make arrangements, if you know you'll be late. We got locked out one night (long story). A bit pricey for what you get (a bed, limited breakfast & a shower), but after talking with the owner, it's nice knowing it goes to a good cause & upright business practices. Worth paying the premium price without getting luxury treatment...but the staff genuinely cared about us more than the courteous lip service we receive at other higher-priced locations. You might have to walk a block or two toward the main roads to find a taxi but, oh, the quiet nights & mornings.

Very friendly staff and very willing to help in anyway needed. The room was clean and comfortable.

I had a room with a shared bathroom and it was very noisy from street noise at night and from the cafe getting ready in the morning. I changed rooms after my first night but the second room was also noisy. One might as well be sleeping with the windows open as there is no soundproofing in the building with those rooms. I also didn't know I had to order breakfast from a special menu so breakfast my first morning ended up costing quite a bit more than I had anticipated.
