Unbelievable all around, the food was quality, the rooms were spacious and comfortable, the private hire onsen is incredibly relaxing. The perfect getaway from the busy world of the cities.

Liked the experience overall. Carpet in main entrance and common areas of the property is VERY Old and Dirty. Not good for a Spa/Onsen hotel.
Individual room outdoor Onsen tubs should be bigger.
One person can’t stretch inside it.
Staff had difficulties calling taxis for the guests, which made inconvenient getting around the area.

The room/view/ onsen were all fantastic. The breakfast and dinner were incredible as well. We loved our stay.

We loved the friendly hotel staff, the food and the onsen spa. The whole experience was outstanding.

The property is beautifully set in the woods on the hillside and is absolutely gorgeous. The rooms are large and the amenities are endless. They are so organized and make you feel like you’re the only guest in the building. The meals were delicious and interactive. The driver was the sweetest and the staff overall did not miss a beat.
Having the option for additional private onsen time or other relaxation services would be a great addition!

The interior common areas where beautifully designed. The restaurant had private rooms, which made your meals feel extra special.
The room was very spacious, with a nice view over the mountains.
We had access to a private onsen, which we loved.
The bedding could be a bit more comfortable, particularly the pillows. One of them was a rice pillow.
The shower itself felt a bit old and tight, but this is nitpicking.

Very nice onsen hotel with great dinner/breakfast and private onsen and friendly staff. Room was spacious and clean with a view of woods.
A bit remote location but as we stayed for only 1 night, it did not matter much.

The person who greeted us was irritating and I had to request a different host. The in room onsen was too small for even a child to sit in and I only weigh 115 lbs, ie I am small. The bed was a double queen so my husband and I were miles apart. Just not my idea of a comfotable stay.

And the staff are very polite and patient.

It feels realy remote albeit being easily accessable. They do the utmost to have your privacy and the food is absolutly delicious.
There was too much food we almost vould not finish it :)

The Staff were exceptionally kind and helpful at making sure our every need was met. The food was absolutely incredible and the onsen experience was great. Nearly every amenity you could need is provided and then some.
Nothing really bad to say about the property other than it is a little bit of a climb up a hill to get to. We had a small miscommunication about wanting a Kaiseki meal one night, and it seems our message was not received (could have been an issue with booking.com, and not the property), but everything was so great that it didn’t matter.

The very pinnacle of hospitality. Every gesture and every detail - from the pickup at the station to the cold plunge in the onsen to the very last calorie of the exceptional meals - was imbued with thought, expertise, and kindness. And as we sat and listened to the birdsong and savored the fragrance of the forest from our private outdoor bath, it felt as if the world was in perfect balance.

The room has good space, beautiful views and very friendly stuffs.
It was a bit difficult for us to take public transport from Tokyo to the hotel, as we had two big suit cases. The hotel can only pick you up from the bus stop.(which is about a 5mins drive)

Stunning ryokan with extra large guest rooms overlooking the forest below. Incredibly attentive staff and Michelin star worthy meals. We booked the private onsen on both nights and also enjoyed the small onsen tub on our balcony. Remote location but the ryokan offers driving service. Very special indeed.

Clean, neat, great presentation
They need to improve their international breakfast menu. I would have appreciated if that option was fully international with more familiar dishes to foreigners.

The property is amazing, with beautiful views, a nice, small onsen on the balcony that can fit one person, a foot massager in the room, a spacious room, a comfortable bed, and mood lighting, the rooms at the property have it all! The bathrooms were also spacious and nice! The breakfast and dinner were absolutely amazing and probably some of the best meals we've had in Japan. The staff is positively courteous and delightful. The property also has a private onsen that you can book for free when you arrive.
Although the place is perfect for a quiet getaway, it is inconvenient for those who want to walk around Hakone and get a feel of the place. There's nothing much to do around, everything is far away so you're pretty much stuck indoors. The public onsen also didn't really offer the best Japanese onsen experience, as it's pretty basic and not an outdoor one.
