I think the hotel commands a super site .

As I said hotel commands a super site but no indication as to how to get into car park. I ended up (like another car) having to reverse back down a narrow laneway onto the Main Street and follow instructions given to me by a pedestrian. Upon arrival in the car park I was issued with a ticket which had time of arrival and a bar code. When I tried leaving the next day I found that the bar code doesn’t scan and I had to go back into reception to get a numerical code - some information about this would have been helpful! The reception was okay but the corridors etc are very jaded looking with no wall interest!! My bedroom was adequate but it was obvious to me that the en-suite floor had not been cleaned. Breakfast the next morning was an interesting affair. I was down for 9.30 and the dining room was not very busy with 4 staff on duty that I could see. I was greeted with “pick somewhere that’s set”! I was on my own and all the single tables were full of the uncleared remains of previous diners. Not wanting to take up a table for 4-6 I sat at one of the single tables and had to ask that it be cleared and re-set. When no-one came to take my order I went to the buffet counter but there were no bowls, glasses and several things needed replenishing. I asked one young waiter for bowl and glass and was told that “they were in the wash”. I stood waiting and asked again. This time a waitress returned with a few bowls and 2 glasses!! There was now a queue behind me. Having finished my cereal and juice I again had to call someone’s attention to take my order - fry, coffee and toast. Meanwhile, tables remained uncleared!! My fry eventually appeared but, again, I had to ask for coffee and toast. Another wait later and coffee arrives but no toast! Ask again!! Toast arrived and I really couldn’t believe that I had to ask for butter!!! If you want sugar or milk then you would have to stir with your fingers because teaspoons are not provided- the same situation as in the bedroom.

The room was still not ready after 3pm still hoovering it at 3.15 . The girl on the desk thought the month was june and i had to correct her the month is july ! The place is abdolutely dire , bleak and in badly need of a make over. Way over priced and the breakfast was like lukewarm rubber and have kids serving that havent got a clue or care about anything . Sofas in foyer are stinkng and need attention . Do not stay here its not worth the money at all !!! The place is just an absolute take on and daylight robbery. Awful on so many levels . Stay elsewhere.

Breakfast buffet was very disappointing, very little choice, no option of any breads, rolls etc, Orange juice was watered down. Scrambled eggs and toast were cold. No butter or jams on tables, had to ask. We were located in a room at the front of the hotel and due to single glaze or poor quality windows the noise from traffic outside was very loud and disruptive when trying to sleep. Bedrooms are very outdated and shabby

Location was great .. just off the main square near the places i needed to go .handy car park too . staff were really helpful and food was great

Enjoyed the trip .. could have stayed longer .did not dislike anything

Hotel is serious need of painting new furniture windows dirty, breakfast disgraceful.

Room good.Comfortable bed, Good shower. Windows not clean. Base of shower doors not clean Good hairdryer . Nice soaps and shampoo

Breakfast fruit and cereal selection poor Freshly prepared cooked breakfast good. Staff pleasant and helpful

Very charming, authentic hotel. Amazing pancakes, made with love :)
