The third bed in the room very disappointed wasn't what I was expecting and dreadful quality

Friendly staff, nice food clean hotel

I gave this resort (and it has a nice resort feel rather than a hotel feel) 7/10 in a previous review from 4 weeks ago simply because I found the rooms let it down. It would be totally unfair not to update my review. The rooms did feel a bit and tired the first stay but it was a midnight arrival and we were the first guests to open the doors of that room at the start of season,so it smelt and felt of the few idle months. On a return trip last week the rooms were in full swing and in fairness felt a million times brighter cleaner and happier.The a/c system is a bit tired as are the random replaced tiles in the common areas of the 1st floor but so what!!. The staff ,the service, the general friendliness and cheer in every corner from the dining room staff ,check in staff, cleaning staff, to the pool side guys to the very good entertainment crew is genuinely far beyond a 5 star service. Whoever does the hiring within this group should take a bow. These people honestly give the feeling that they want to be at work. In this day and age that is rare!!. The value for money is exceptional,the place is spotless, although a little tired the rooms have all the facilities and more. The staff far exceed any hotel i have ever stayed in. Well done guys. We were here on a very casual work trip!! and of the 4 of us from different walks of life and backgrounds, we are all coming back as soon as possible.Thank you and keep doing what you are obviously very good at.

genuinely nothing to dislike here.

Very friendly staff, nice pool and views, great buffet food, everything clean. Definitely recommended for stay with children as there were lots of activities and lots of kids there, but anyone would enjoy the hotel even without kids (I was there just with a friend and we enjoyed it)

Breakfasts were amazing and food variety was exceptional

The pool was colder than the sea and totally unusable. The other 'heated' pool was not much warmer and definitely not something you could stay in for longer than a minute. I swim in open water hut even the outside pool was too painful for me!

Excellent value for money. Food is far from being gourmet, but still very good and varied. Staff was very friendly and always looking to help and improve my stay.

Water wasn't very hot and noise from other rooms and water pump can be heard throughout the night.

The catering was exceptional as were the staff. Common areas including pool areas are lovely and could not be faulted. Bright,cheerful and friendly.

The basic rooms are converted from old self catering units (kitchenette removed etc) without a thought in the world.They are clean but do ring a little bit of (lipstick on a pig) syndrome. No t.v. in bedroom area (i know its not major but it breaks the silence on hangover nights!!). t.v.service in common area very dated and constantly crashing even thought wifi is spot on.showers are poor and aircon controls are also very old and out of date to an annoying point.The former kitchenette area converted into a walk in wardrobe is just a waste of good space and blocks the flow of light. Saying that the place is spotless. Would defo stay again but in a highter quality suite.The entry level rooms would be beaten hands down by many of the 3 star establishments in the immediate area.(jardim del sol sea view)(upgraded sun beach rooms)(upgraded holiday centre rooms) at a lower price. However if your priority is kids club and meals and service....yes.yes yes.
