It was a beautiful hotel & the rooms were great. Awesome location and close to everything and lots to see in the hotel.

We had no hot water for 24 hours so couldn't bath the kids as it was freezing. We also had an out of date room service menu so when we went to order it was not available. Lastly a friend organised a surprise for us and it was missed and I had to go down and chase it up after waiting 45 minutes.

The location was good.

The rooms were dated, and not very clean. Our toilet leaked throughout our stay making puddles on the floor of the bathroom. There was no hot water in the morning, when I went to reception to let them know could be heard on the phone refunding someone’s night for the same issue, but offered no compensation to myself. The price very much didn’t reflect the quality would not stay here again.

Unfriendly gent on reception when we arrived. Im used to paying on checkout and he insisted we pay on check in. Having just spent 4 nights at the Sheraton Mirage on the gold coast and paying when we left it was a surprise. I did not appreciate his brusque manner.

Nicely presented and clean

Poor service. My dinner order was totally lost. I sat with my colleague eating a plate of chips while she ate steak and my barramundi never arrived. They lost my order for my Shiraz too, yet everything was ordered at the same time. Needless to say we did not eat there again. Also, I didn't realise that not having my bed made (as requested) also meant that I wouldn't have my milk or tea re-stocked. Not happy the next morning.

Location, cleanliness, staff

Easy of walking to the town, shops and being central to all services. Very comfortable rooms and very clean helpful service. We will be back to stay at Sails for sure !

Comfy bed - suit purpose of quick overnight stay before travelling further north.

Pool wasn’t heated enough to have an enjoyable swim. Was freezing!

The buffet breakfast was good, everything was there you would want for breakfast.

Checking in, no follow up phone call to confirm room was ready. Restaurant- lack of staff causing delay in food and drink ordering (30 mins) Entrees arrived before drinks. Signed room charge back but no waiter to take so left on table the challenged by bar staff member. No food drinks availability around pool. No storage provided for expensive bikes. Room not made up until 3pm and upon request.

The location

I don't lke the fact that the storm had wiped out WiFi for the whole of our stay, we were not checked in on our arrival, nor did we have power in the room till after we went to bed that night, and we wern't offered a discount nor an apology for our inconvenience.

The fact that my debit card had been compromised after using the QR code Table 74 at the pool. This lead to my card being cancelled. This was the first day of our holiday. Also leaving a charge of $59.54 ☹️. I was told by the day supervisor that someone would get in contact with me, and no one has. Disappointed
