The owner has clearly gone to a lot of trouble renovating both the property and the garden; the buildings and rooms are fitted out with top-notch materials and fittings. The garden is a joy to sit in; the area outside, in front of our room, was a lovely place to sit in the morning and evening. There was some confusion over food for me - a COELIAC - but that was sorted on the second day

The location of this holiday property makes it difficult to find (for me). It is on the opposite side of the SS274 to the coast and is located amongst olive groves along some small service roads. I had a map of Puglia (just this smallish area of Italy) and I fondly thought this would enable me to get about OK; NOT SO. One needs Google Maps and even then some of the smallest tracks are not shown. Do not go without a GPS or a mobile phone with Google Maps with a voice that tells you where to go. Massimo was helpful whilst I struggled to find the property. But with Google - it's fine - you just need to be aware of all the little roads.
