Location, it is in the heart of Cong. It has a very good restaurant with good local live music on a Tuesday night. Also, the hotel had a large parking lot behind the hotel

There was no window in the bedroom but had a small window in the bath room. This made it difficult to cool the room. It was unusually warm for Ireland that week. However, my brother room had two large windows in his room.

Breakfast room was spacious and airy, the breakfast choice was basic fried breakfast items (fried egg sausage, bacon, white & black pudding, grilled tomatoes, along with a choice of 4 cereals 3 fruit juices, natural yogurt and fruits, wheaten bread tea or coffee and toast. The order for hot beverages and toast were taken and promptly served on arrival along with a welcoming greeting. The bedroom and ensuite was both spacious and clean The location of the hotel set on the main street in cong village is second to none for anyone doing the Quiet man tour etc. the grounds of ashford castle and river are all within a 4-5 minute gentle walk from the door as is all or most of the quiet man locations. Parking was ample and to the rear of the hotel accessed by a narrow entrance off the main street Very friendly staff throughout the hotel

(only down side and this was a personal issue for both myself and my wife was the firmness of the bed and pillows, again purely a personal thing) so if you like a really firm mattress and then this is your place to stay. Unfortunately we found waking up in the morning with an almost sore feeling. Unfortunately this would be the only reason we would find not to return to Ryans Hotel.

Located in the middle of everything, we drove but barely used the car! Staff were attentive and friendly.. breakfast was delicious. Pub and restaurant adjoining which is super handy. Vast menu, very tasty food! Highly recomend visiting and staying here

It's a lovely Hotel, and a lovely area for walking.

Staff were friendly and humorous. It was good to have a restaurant in the location because of the limited choices in town. A caution for visitors: Don't restaurants stop serving at 8:00 pm.
