Super modern and comfortable room. Very good value for money. Walking distance to the city centre and you get a tasty breakfast in the morning. The staff is very attentive and friendly. Perfect for when you either start or end your trip :)

Everything was great

Place is right next to restaurants and shops, short way from the airport. Rooms are nicely decorated and clean. Bed is super comfy! Tasty breakfast with fresh fruit juice, garlic toast and fried eggs and a big pot of coffee. Owners are welcoming, very kind and helpful.

The staff was extremely nice and served a wonderful breakfast. You won‘t expect that nice rooms when you see from the outside, but it was spacey, clean and the AC worked very well. The terrace kind of breakfast area is also nice to chill.

I stayed during my last night in Sri Lanka at The Canoe. Welcoming drink was offered and staff service was very nice in every moment. After travelling around Sri Lanka for two weeks, I can say that it was one of the best accomodations I booked, installations are quite new and above the country standards. Location in Negombo is fine and good connected to the airport.

Breakfast was ok. It might result a bit noisy during the day because it's close to a busy road, but to sleep in the night was good.

We had a two-day stay at The Canoe Hotel. We enjoyed it very much and felt completely comfortable. Everything you need is available in the rooms and all requests are catered for. The hotel owner and his family were really the nicest and most helpful people we have met in Sri Lanka. He helped us with the appointment for a PCR test, picked up the result for us and even drove us to the airport. He was always ready for a nice chat and tips for Negombo. I would give 11 points if I could. We came as guests and left as friends. I hope we'll see each other again in Germany. Lovely wishes

Perfect location near airport and hospital for pcr. the most comfortable bed and lovely shower. almost didnt want to leave the room. owner was very helpful and kind. could ask him anything, super kind.

There was a lot of attention put into the decoration and furniture. Although from the exterior you would not expect such nice rooms the place was perfect for our needs. We wanted a place close to the airport that would allow us to catch our flight without getting stuck in the traffic.

Clean, comfortable room in small hotel/restaurent, everything like new but dates from 2017 build. Our hosts were exceptional, so friendly and always happy to help. Breakfasts were amazing, different every day, with fresh fruit juices and fruits. The Canoe is well located in the Negombo, with large supermarket opposite, a park nearby, a range of restaurents and endless variety of shops. The lagoon and beach area with wider range of restaurents is 2-3km away, easy to ricj by Tuk-Tuk.

More local dishes in the nearby restaurents, as many offered a similar standard menu.

Rooms were comfortable with good A/C. Nice bathroom and friendly welcome. Good location next to the train station.

No plug sockets next to the bed

Our family was very warmly welcomed here. Delicious breakfasts and traditional dinner are in our memories forever! This is a good location for traveling. The bus and train stations are in two minutes walk. Thank you Rohan for the hospitality!

It was very new property, so everything was spotless

The bedroom has 3 big windows but facing the corredores, so if you have the curtain up everyone could see u. No TV No much around, you need to go to negombo beach for everything
