I have visited Havania apartments as a child 2 times in the 80s and I have always thought that I want to return someday. It was time to go back now! My family and I had a wonderful week's vacation. The location is absolutely amazing. The water was crystal clear and it was wonderful to start a new day with a dip in the sea from the pier. The hotel staff was first class. Actually I met George, the owner of the hotel, firat time as a child in the 80s, when his parents were in charge. The hotel was a little worn but very clean, the cleaners came every day. Good bed and mattress.

The air conditioner was quite ineffective, at first it seemed that the apartment was not cooling down at all. I don't know if it was due to our apartment on the top floor, which had the sun hitting the roof without mercy :) But after a couple of nights, luckily, the heat eased a bit... Blackout curtains would have been good too.

Havania Apartments have a wonderful outlook over Mirabello Bay. A family owned business with friendly staff and a very relaxing environment. The 2 bedroom apt we had was clean and well kept, with everything required for a self catering holiday. Great meals and snacks are also available on site at very reasonable prices. We have stayed at Havania three times now !

George and his family are so helpful and the location is incredible. it was great to be able to wake up and go straight in the sea for a swim. my kids loved the pontoon and the table tennis and pool.

The bathroom could be updated and have some cold water in the hand wash tap.

The beautiful setting exceeded what is shown in the pictures. Loved the pontoon and snorkelling straight from the apartment. Pool was also great, with a very chilled vibe and there was always food and drink available when needed. We had a hire car and parked it without problem, made a good base for trips in the local area and an easy drive for evenings in Agios centre.

Found the main bed was too squeaky, so we slept in the singles.

What a fantastic holiday! George, Manos & family made us welcome from start to end of our trip! Big shout out to all the members of staff who were lovely throughout our stay. We loved our apartment with a great view of the ocean. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen facilities were sufficient for our stay. Super handy having the bar on site, and the breakfast and meals we did have there were great! We loved being able to jump off the jetty every morning and being able to do some water sports straight from the hotel was perfect! Lots of areas to sunbathe and the pool was clean. George was very accommodating by letting us have a large group (wedding party) join us at the hotel and pre-arranged an amazing bbq! Location was good, with a shop nearby for all your basic necessities and a great spot for exploring Agios Nikolas or Elounda. Overall we couldn't have asked for a better stay and will definitely be back!

If I had to be really picky maybe a few sachets of instant coffee, or a bit of dish washing liquid just to get you started before stocking up at supermarket. The only other thing the parking fills up quick quickly and can be a little tricky to get out if lots of cars but this wasn't really a bit deal and there is space out on the road just outside the apartments.

My children and I have just returned from a week in Havinia Apartments. It was wonderful! The room was so big, clean, welcoming and comfortable. We had a lovely balcony that got the morning sun so it was in cool shade at the hottest part of the day, which was perfect for us. The staff were so welcoming, friendly and accommodating. We had an issue with the shower on the first day but it was rectified straight away. The pool was fantastic! The kids and I spent hours there. There were plenty of loungers, umbrellas, tables with or without shade and a fab gazebo with comfy furniture. There is a gorgeous pontoon at the bottom of the property where we could also swim in the sea. It was gorgeous! The kitchen and bar are close to the pool so food and drink were easily available all day. The prices were very reasonable and the food freshly prepared.

The only downside was the wifi (I needed to do some work while I was there), but it wasn't the hotel's fault, it was the wifi generally in the area (it was the same at my sister's house and she lives in the area).

Perfect location, and facilities. All of the staff were professional, friendly and help was always available when needed.

Being used to duvet we did struggle with using sheets and a coverlet. Just a small thing maybe but a duvet option would have been lovely.

Perfect spot for snorkeling. The best we've seen on Crete.

Single beds required additional mattress pads to be bearable. Only one key for four persons. Rooms were on the ground floor with extra door outside, but to ventilate the room during the night you had to left the door open - no way to open the windows.
