Great house and location for our four families (12 people) to converge on. House was big enough for all of us and had plenty for us to do. Grands were great with terrific view

We were so happy at the size of this home. We are a big family!! We had plenty of room and there were lots of activities to keep everyone engaged and talking! The kids loved the outside swings, pool and especially the hot tub!! We are looking forward to booking again! The owners were just the nicest folks!! Thanks again for sharing your home!!!

Beautiful area, fun for hiking. Only worries were the wasps. Alot of nests and several people got bit. Bug spray present so we used it to kill some nests. Poole was wonderful. Hot tube was not working adequately. got quite cloudy but we did not report it. I am sure they would have been right down. Hosts were very attentive to our needs. We had a wonderful time in home, was very adequate for all our needs.. Game room was a winner. Thanks for hosting us.

This was the 2nd time I’ve hosted my annual yoga retreat at Sunset Ridge and we’ll continue to come back every year as long as they’ll have us! Chuck and Melissa respond quickly to messages, the property is beautiful, the setting is serene, the lodge is clean and well stocked with extra bedding and towels, and the kitchen has everything we needed to accommodate cooking for 14 people all weekend. I’m already looking forward to next year!

Our group had a great time staying at the property. Host kept in contact and even stopped by to help us get the fire on in the fireplace the first morning.

We brought our young adult group from our church. There were 20 of us and we had plenty of room. Everyone was able to do what they wanted and when we all gathered together, we still had room. Some went fishing, the game room was fantastic, huge TV, couch was a perfect napping spot. I definitely recommend this house for any large group! Everyone is already wanting to come back this summer to enjoy the pool.

For our family of 6 adults and 12 children, this was a great location and we would definitely consider returning. The host was prompt and very helpful with our questions, the hiking in the area is perfect for all ages, and our boys loved the fishing opportunities. Thank you for such a fun week!

The property is good and accommodate many people. Pros: Spacious Many activities for the children Many seating arrangements Great lot Electrical fire-pit was a must Jacuzzi works very fine Lake was equipped with kayaks and life jackets Enough towels and bedding sheets Cons: Needs upgrade on kitchen utensils (no good cutting knives), need new pans etc... Fridge was not clean inside and smelled. Although very spacious Unfortunately there were mice (small rat) inside the house. By the big lounge couch area, in the bedroom outside and in the bedroom next to the lounge area. We saw about 3 rodents. Blankets were more like a throw/ small blanket and not enough for my party of 25. We contacted the owner for 2 issues we had: 1) Some folks on the lake harassed us saying we were not allowed to join the lake. The owner immediately came down (she lives in the property) and clarified to the other folks that we were welcomed in the lake. A bit of a commotion between them and some people of my group. 2) Mice situation. Owner came to the property to put mouse trap. She was very apologetic and in charge. Overall, despite everything we enjoyed and stay and we will go back. I just wanted to write an honest review. Thank you!

This is the second time coming back here. This place is big enough to accommodate people from 18 to 30 people! A big gathering room and plenty of seating for dining! Wifi was working well for our large group. They also have a hot tub that can fit at least 6 people and a pool for summer! We will definitely come back!

The place sat up on a nice hill. It had the room we needed.

Great place with a lot to do and great owners who want you to have a great stay!

We had a group of 21 and it was fantastic! The fact that the bedrooms had beds for the entire family as well as a bathroom made the large family logisitics a breeze. There was enough room to eat without feeling like we were elbow to elbow or in separate rooms. The hot tub, Gaga ball, game room and gorgeous surroundings kept everyone engaged and happy. Baby swing and slide for the littlest guests were great touches. Clearly the details have been considered. Towels and sheets were provided and check out was a breeze. The children complained we weren’t there long enough. I’d have to agree! Oh and the couch! Such a huge and comfy spot for College Football! An easy hike at the Wildlife Management Center was fantastic! We’re hoping this won’t be our last trip!

The only concern was the entrance road , need to be fixed . Everyone enjoy the place thanks .

My family needed a place large enough to hold us all,( 23 total but only 17 could come) without anyone having to far to travel. We wanted something that we could relax and spend time together and yet have something the kids could enjoy and not get bored. Sunshine Ridge more than met our expectations. We had beds to spare, entertainment galore. We never even had to leave the property to find something to do. The pool, hot tub, more games to count, large screen TV with movies plus the lake with water trampoline, canoes, paddle boards and more kept anyone from saying they were bored. The only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. We all wished we had a few extra days to stay here. Chuck and Melissa are excellent host They responded to any questions in a very short time. Check in and check out super easy. We hope to be able to return again in the future with the ones who could not make it this time.

This VRBO is great for large families and groups! It is a perfect place to host a camp, have a family thinking or just a friend getaway. The owners are always available and super helpful.

We loved our experience at this home. We rented this home for a large Young Mens group (10 teenagers and 6 adults). The home was more than spacious for the group. It was very functional and was perfect for our group. We enjoyed our day trip to Cloudland Canyon (40 minute drive), morning at Pettyjohn cave, afternoon at the private lake and much time enjoying the pool, grilling outside and playing cornhole and Gaga ball in the yard! The hosts are super nice and easy to work with.

We get the family together every year and this year was by far our favorite! If you know teens, they are easily bored but this year we did not have one say they were. There is so much room and things to do. From the “lazy” porch (adult favorite) to the game rooms (yes plural), there was something for everyone all ages (2 - 60). Melissa and Chuck have thought of everything to make this a true paradise. We hope to see you again soon!

If you’re looking for a space to get away with a group this is the place! Pick up some groceries on the way and you won’t want to leave. The kitchen is so functional and the eating area great. There is so much to do and the space is designed so well it’s fun hanging out in and outside the cabin. The pool is so great! And the lake is just a short walk and great fun with so much to do. Not to mention how great the hosts are. So kind and responsive, they are exactly what you’d want in a host. You’ll be sad when you have to leave.

We have been doing annual family reunions for years…everyone agrees this is going down in the books as a favorite. It’s not luxurious…but it’s clean and functional with a plethora of things to do. It was relaxing to not have to put up the fancy decor that some of the other houses we’ve stayed at had. The kids just about lived in the pool… they had a blast at the lake and playing down stairs. The owners responded very promptly to any questions we had…We loved it and look forward to coming back!

We love staying here!!

This house was great for a large group of friends. The bunks are definitely more for kids but we didn’t have much trouble having adults/teenagers sleep in them. The driveway is a bit rough and one of our cars got stuck the first time but it’s not long and we didn’t get stuck again. There were a few complaints about bedding cleanliness but they had enough sheets to get a new clean set. There was a lot of room to hang out and we loved the hot tub and the other games they had there. At first we had our doubts but by the end we had a good experience overall and would consider this place again

Great property! Very well stocked- lots of bedding and blankets as well as kitchen supplies. The house was very cold throughout our stay and there was no heating system that we could find but we kept warm with all the provided blankets. We loved our stay and plan to bring a group back again!

This house was perfect for our group of teens, adult chaperones, and a few children. Main floor is kitchen and dining. Two large refrigerators, countertop ice maker, two ovens, gas grill, and Blackstone. Upstairs are three bedrooms and three baths. Downstairs is a playroom with games,doll house, and a few toys. Another small game room then the large, I mean huge area with sectional, tv, ping pong, air hockey, giant Jenga. Each of the bunks have sheets and pillows and a trunk of warm blankets available. Excellent communication from the hosts. We loved our home for the weekend and even got to enjoy the snow!

We greatly enjoyed our stay, and the house was plenty big with room to spare. Our group of 20 raves about all the activities, and they are dying to do a summer retreat at the house for the pool. With all the games at the house and the lake down the road, the house DID NOT disappoint. There were plenty of sheets, towels, and cookware for our 2 night stay.

Lots to do with pool, jacuzzi, lakefront and hiking. A family friendly place where you don't have to worry about the kids messing things up.

It is a gem!!

There was plenty of room for everyone. Fully stocked kitchen. (Not food). Plenty of towels & pool accessories & at the lake was canoes & boats along with life jackets. (Even though only 4-5 feet deep). We didn’t have a huge group but there was plenty of rooms & beds if we did. Great place.

This cabin was amazing and perfect for our group!! We brought our youth group on a retreat and it was hands down the best time ever!! We had times of fun in the game room, pool and hot tub, while enjoying the big open space for our times of teaching and worship! We look forward to booking this again for our next retreat! Melissa and Chuck were very kind to come by and meet us and quick to respond if we had a question! They have everything you need right there - plenty of bedding, blankets, towels! Absolutely awesome!
