Nice view from my room, right across the city to the Gate of the Orient. The location is very close to the metro, Panmen and the canal. Check-in was fast and efficient. Staff were pleasant. Room was cleaned daily and bottled water was replenished. There was a fridge in my room, which was really great. Comfy bed.

The location, while good, is kind of quiet. Not a whole lot of life in the immediate area. The floor of my bedroom could have been a little bit cleaner the day I arrived. The bathroom floor was ok though.

What I saw online pictures of the hotel was not what I got when I was there

Fantastic location - metro station right outside the hotel and a short walk from the Panmen Scenic Area that is well worth a visit. The staff at breakfast were friendly.

At check in the hotel reception staff made no effort to talk to me (fair enough if you can't speak English but at least say something in Chinese, I can understand a little). It was like the two men couldn't be bothered when I arrived, whereas the women who worked at reception always stood when I entered and were ready to help. Booking.com should not advertise this hotel as having a buffet breakfast. The breakfast is terrible but the staff at breakfast were friendly. At check in I was given the choice between sandwiches or a Chinese breakfast. The sandwiches were one tiny sandwich cut into 4 triangles. The hotel should offer tea, coffee and juices at breakfast, and have fruit available. If I was staying again I would book without breakfast and eat outside the hotel.

The location is so accurate and just front opposite the subway station and the room was super clean and the staff really did well and tried to accommodate us by using english so that we can understand each other.

I liked everything about the hotel I can't really say what I didn't like because the place was beyond my expectations and there's nothing bad to say about the hotel and we found the staff patiently waiting for us.
