We enjoyed our stay at 408 Arcadia, Both Worlds and found the property clean and equipped with all the necessary amenities for a self catering stay. Having stayed at Both Worlds (another apartment) previously, we were already familiar with the general amenities available and how to get to and from Sandy Bay. The frequent bus service and relatively cheap taxis make trips into town and other tourist areas easy. The only difficulty was returning on a night when the lights along the stairs and passageway to the apartment failed to come on, but this appeared to be attended to by workmen the following day. This didn’t really detract from an otherwise really enjoyable holiday.

The property we stayed in was very clean and the views were incredible. The bonus was the beach right on the doorstep, only downside was no shops in walking distance but there was a bus that takes you straight to Morrison

We stayed at this apartment for 1 week with our 2 young children. Travel cot provided for our 18 month old and plenty of blankets, sheets and towels available which reduced what we had to take from home. The apartment is a great size and made a lovely home for the week. Terrace was great, the best terrace I have seen in both worlds, and there is a gate also which gave me peace of mind when the children were playing outside. Beach is a few steps away and is gorgeous. I really appreciated all of the small things around the apartment such as toiletries, tea, coffee, buckets and spades, etc, they came in very useful and meant we had less to pack/buy once we arrived in Gibraltar. Carol was also very helpful and easy to contact with any queries we had. We really enjoyed our stay and we look forward to returning in the future.

For sea views over a lovely beach it doesn't get better than this. The apartment was well equipped, clean and comfortable. We were met at the airport and driven to and from the building. Only a tiny niggle in that there was no food for the first breakfast and the nearest shop was a bus journey away. But waking up to the sound of waves braking over a beach made up for it.

Right from the very first contact, the communication with Carol the owner was excellent, it set the bar for the whole experience. The butterflies we had whilst waiting to hear if the booking was accepted were akin to buying a house, the joy when it's accepted is just the same, we had set our hearts on the most beautiful beachfront property in Gibraltar and we where delighted when it was confirmed. The apartment was right on the beach, away from the road, which is not busy as its the eastern coastal road (Sandy Bay, the quieter side of the island). It had 2 unique features not found in many of the apartments at Both Worlds, one an extra gate for security and a side patio, with awning, sun and dining area and up steps to a Mediterranean garden, Inc garden shed (nice British touch and useful too). Upon entering you go straight into the morning room/kitchen, it's not massive but it doesn't need to be, it has everything that you have at home, and more.....coffee press, corkscrew and fridge (2 of them - you'll be glad that there are 2 of them) eye level cooker, it's bijoux and it works. The lounge with sofa bed has many cupboards with even more useful stuff in, plus a larger TV than the bedroom Inc Sky TV, DVD player & radio, again more than enough. A normal sized bathroom, not a tiny one shoehorned in as an afterthought is next, even with a bath, but use the shower as it puts the power in shower, excellent for blasting sand off yourself after a day lounging on the beach. A well appointed bedroom, with TV and UK channels, wardrobe, bedside tables both sides with plug sockets (ideal for mobile charging), dresser with many drawers. Outside is the best, the end of terrace terrace is brilliant, perfect for watching the boats in the bay, perfect for sunbathing (not overlooked), perfect for lighting the barbecue and watching the sun go down and the moon come up. A bus ride into Gib main, the #4 or the #8, plus handy for the nightbus too, the #8a (it terminates at Black Strap Cove a short walk from Both Worlds). In addition to central Gib, there is also a short walk away (10-15 mins) Catalan Bay village, this has another beach, a couple of restaurants and a 4 star hotel. There is no better holiday than one at Both Worlds, but there is no better apartment than this one at Both Worlds. It'd a credit to Carol and you will love it, I know we did. Andy,

We were met at the airport and taken to the apartment , it was lovely and clean and had all the mod cons and more . The apartment is only a 10 minute bus journey to the Main Street , which run regularly until late and bus service is very cheap . The beach the apartment is on stayed quiet it was perfect for relaxing and the views are amazing . We will more then likely be staying here again and would recommend to any one .

The apartment has a great location being right on the beach.You can just walk down a few steps and you are there.We were in Gibraltar the first week of September and the beach had hardly anybody on it most of the time so plenty of room. The owner is friendly and responsive,and Josie who lives local picked us up and dropped us of at the airport at the beginning and end of holiday,this was a great service for those new to Gibraltar. A bus that runs about 3 x per hour stops just outside the apartment and is cheap and a great way to get around.(£2.25 all day all round Gib).For those new to Gibraltar there is plenty to do,with the Rock, tunnels, the beach and many places to eat. The flat is as shown in the pictures and the large side terrace is great to sit and sip a drink or just look out to sea at the ships and dolphins.Most apartments do not have this and as this is a end apartment it is very private.At other apartments people need to walk through their small terrace to get to the beach or their apartment. I would recommend this apartment if you want a quiet place to stay with a swim outside your door.For more action just get the bus to town.(1 mile) Nick, Wendy

The property was accurately described and so exactly matched our expectations. It was well equipped. The property was well located for an excellent beach and was very easy to travel into town. We were well informed and looked after. We would have no hesitation in recommending this property. For us it gave us a good location to visit all the sites of Gibraltar.

I have not expected the house is such nice, as the cheap prices. However, once i arrived, everything is perfect. The sea is right below the house. You will find everything you need in the house, not only some essential product, but also some little stuff(e.g. candles, lighter, telescope...). The house owner is very nice as well.All in all, i think it is much better than hotel, and worth to choose.

Thanks for looking after us so well. Lots of great personal touches in the very well equipped apartment. And what an outlook from the balcony. We personally loved the quieter location. Isolated? Not with a bus stop (and Catalan Bay) minutes away. Besides, we enjoyed the walk into town: mid twenties in October, bliss. We'd go back again in a heartbeat. Cheers Carol and to Josie as well.

I already knew the location is good as I've stayed here before, but I was very pleased with this particular apartment; it's the only one (as far as I'm aware) that has a lovely big private terrace area as well as the balcony. This is great for relaxing in the sun & eating outdoors. Everything required for a holiday is provided in the apartment & the good quality wifi was particularly useful. The bed is comfortable & everything was nice & clean. I spent a lot of time relaxing on the terrace, some time each day enjoying the beach & sea just below & a couple of days on good walks up to the top of the rock. Hopefully I'll stay here again some time.

We stayed here last year and had no hesitation in booking again this year. The apartment is in a fantastic location right on the Mediterranean shore, A quiet location but only 10 minutes walk from catalan bay with its bars and restaurants and also there is an excellent and inexpensive bus service into town. A new beach has been created right in front of the apartment and is a great safe place to swim and paddle. The apartment is really well appointed and has everything you need even for a longer stay. It's beautifully furnished and very comfortable. Both Carol the owner & Josie, her rep in Gib could not have been more helpful. We would highly recommend the apartment and will definitely be back gain soon.

This was our first holiday with our daughter who is 18 month old so we were very apprehensive. However carol was very helpful & always available for advice, carol even bought our daughter a sleep cot, the rooms was perfect, the patio was brill with canopy for shade, rooms very comfortable and equipped with tea bags coffee shower gel towels bedding even a washing machine. We have booked to go back this year! The views are amazing you are right on the beach it's beautiful

We stayed in the apartment for 3 weeks and had no complaints. The views are outstanding and you wake up to the sound of the waves. The outside area is very spacious and the whole apartment very welcoming. Although Both Worlds is slightly more secluded than other areas, it means you have you own private beach and without no hustle and bustle of nearby traffic. Carol was very helpful with anything we needed and I would gladly recommend this apartment as a great place to stay if you're thinking of going to Gibraltar.

Booked for a friends wedding nearby. On arrival was very pleased, a warm welcome and comfortable, the apartment was very clean and spacious. The view was right over the sea. The apartment had everything you required and more, more like a home from home. Would most certainly go back and recommend to friends.

The apartment is situated in a beautiful location right on the Mediterranean sea front. Very safe and perfect for families and if you were to stay on your own to get away from all the madness. Close to the airport, bars restaurants ad above all else a stones throw from the beach. Next door to Catalan Bay which is just a stunning beach surrounded by lovely cafe's and the best restaurant in Gibraltar La Mamela. Couldn't ask for anymore as the apartment has everything you need including two fridges for that extra booze bought from the supermarket that is very close by. Perfect views, and guaranteed stunning sunrise every morning. Will be going again very soon. Thank you

We stayed here in January 2013 as part of a group involved in an event at a nearby hotel. The apartment is located in 'Both Worlds' and is immaculately presented with everything one could need for a perfect holiday. The bedroom is large with plenty of storage - there's even a front-loading washing machine tucked away in a cupboard with a fridge freezer - very clever. The intelligent use of space throughout is a feature of this apartment. The kitchen has every utensil one could need. There is a second fridge, cooker, microwave, kettle and plenty of crockery - all spotless and neatly arranged. The bathroom is more than ample with extraction, overhead heater and bath with shower. The lounge is large with a sofa bed and even more storage, a large flat screen TV with dozens of channels and because of the cable feed, it has a perfect picture; wonderful for catching up with your favourite programmes or to watch the football on Sky TV! There is also a dining area with table, 4 chairs and a tumble drier nearby. Free WiFi was also provided. The amount of time, effort and thought that's gone into the layout, design and presentation of this apartment is very impressive. The photos are true and genuine. There is even a telephone intercom available for visitors. The private balcony provides wonderful views across the Med. To the left one can see the Spanish Andalucian mountains and to the right the Rif (Middle Atlas) range in Morocco. And the sunrises in January, around 8.15 were stunning too. There is also a clean sandy beach running all the way along the accommodation area with the waves gently making their way towards you - very romantic. Buses (No.4 & 8) run from 'Both Worlds' into Gib every 30 mins or so from the turning point just a few hundred metres along St. Michael's Road. There is a lot more one could say about this wonderful apartment and it's location but that would spoil your adventure!

We've just got back from a lovely long weekend staying in Gibraltar. It was very enjoyable and the apartment was just as we expected it to be. All that we needed was provided for and with a bus stop a short walk away, it was very convenient to get into town to see the sights. The property itself was nice and tidy and comfortable too. Sat at the foot of the impressive Rock, and with great views of the Med I would definitely recommend this apartment to friends and family. For sun and some of the comforts of home, it's a great getaway destination!

The location of this apartment is perfect for couples / families looking for a relaxing peaceful location, On the beach, secure, private with large patio and everything in the apartment that you need. The apartment needed a bit of TLC but having spoken to the owners they have since started improvements. There are a few bars and restaurants about 10 mins walk from the complex and a good bus service runs every half hour to the town, bus fares are £1.50 return. We would recommend this area to family and friends and will be returning again.

J'ai séjourné avec mon mari et mes 2 enfants une semaine dans cet appartement qui offre une vue splendide sur le détroit de Gibraltar. Nous avons pu assister au lever du soleil sur la mer le matin, et au spectacle des étoiles filantes le soir... L'appartement très fonctionnel bien équipé (climatisation et wifi) et spacieux, avec une terrasse privative, donne sur une petite plage quasi privée d'un charme fou avec ses coquillages et ses "goêlants". Nous avons vraiment adoré le lieu, en contrebas du Rocher et très au calme. C'est un luxe rare que de pouvoir se sentir comme sur une île au bout du monde. Nous avons pu visiter Séville, Cadix, Cordoue et Tanger au Maroc, mais aussi Gibraltar qui ne manque pas de ressources : les fameux singes, le centre-ville pour le shopping (cigarettes et alcool détaxés). Par ailleurs, nous avons reçu un accueil et un au revoir très chaleureux de la part des agents sur place. Pour se déplacer sur "l'île" nous avons utilisé notre véhicule mais aussi une service de navette par bus qui est très pratique pour aller faire les courses (supermarché au centre ville). Ce lieu est loing des plages bondées et hyper touristiques que l'on a l'habitude de voir partout en Espagne. En résumé, nous nous sommes beaucoup reposés et ressourcés dans un endroit réellement hors normes. A voir et à revoir...

My friends and I were unfortunately very unhappy with our original accommodation in Benalmadena and decided to move somewhere else for the duration of our stay in Spain. We decided on visiting Gibraltar as one of the girls has family there and we were extremely lucky and happy to find this apartment. It is right on the beach so you can hear the sea at night (very relaxing)! The very last minute booking was all dealt with really quickly and efficiently, we had no problems at all (many thanks to Carol and Sabrina). The location is great, Both Worlds is just a 10 minute walk from the popular beach Catlan Bay and for a quieter beach, there's one on the doorstep! We only have one very small complaint (which is somewhat unavoidable) there were a lot of ants in the kitchen, even over our unopened food - we ended up keeping everything in the fridge (even cereal!). Other than that we have nothing negative to say and we shall hopefully be returning next year! Many thanks for letting us stay in this great apartment!
