Had a great stay in La Jolla. The place was as advertised. Full kitchen, nice shower, plenty of room. Thomas is a great host. Highly recommend this place for 1-2 people.

The good: Nice host who responds promptly to requests. Good location. Tiny kitchen is handy with fridge and micro. Fair price. The bad: Hard weird not terribly clean couch converts to a futon like (with ridge) low sleeping situation. Doesn't feel fresh, clean or comfortable. Blanket was visibly dirty and not sure if large comforter was washed before my use either. Overall bed for sleeping was very poor. Suggest replacing with real pull out sofa with mattress or just have comfy bed and loveseat in space. Noise from upstairs was weird to hear. Locking door into main house not able to be secured from my side felt unsecure. Outside door also did not have chain or bolt - what if last guest copied key? No opening windows for ventilation, only door which is too bright in am and can not be left open safely.

We enjoyed staying at this studio. It has a small table and chairs on the little patio which is great for enjoying a morning cup of coffee or an afternoon/evening meal. There were many eating places within walking distance, and the beach was a short stroll away. Thomas was a gracious host. We're active seniors but it may be unsuitable for mature travelers with mobility issues. The path behind the gate is loose rock with stepping stones and uneven steps. The convertible bed is low to the floor, and the interior tile floor has an uneven surface. We'd highly recommend this studio for those looking for a relaxing spot to return to after a busy day exploring San Diego.

We were in San Diego visiting family. This unit was in a nice neighborhood, close to restaurants and the beach. It was comfortable for overnight stays and convenient for traveling around the area. Thomas was very responsive to any questions.

A friend and I stayed to kayak La Jolla Cove. The place was clean and adequate for two adults on a short visit. It was clean, private, good location

We enjoyed our stay very much, great area and felt very safe. Close to nice and quiet beach but also close to the sea lions! So thankful to have parking! It was very clean and great to have a functioning kitchen. Would definitely stay again.

Loved staying here. It’s close to lots of restaurants and shops, a short bike ride from the beach, and it had all the basics for making breakfast and lunch (stove, toaster, coffee maker). The little outdoor space was nice too

Great stay for a short vacation. The couch/bed wasn’t bad at all and my boyfriend and I slept pretty good. However I was disappointed to see that the pillows and blankets were stained from previous usage, the bathroom just had a liner which had mildew and stains as well. The couch also had stains. Location was great and convenient.

Everything perfect

An excellent studio for a short vacation stay in La Jolla. Very quiet, nice neighborhood, access to bike trail and endless beaches and surfing. Thomas is a solid host and provided clean linens, accommodation, and great advice for local activities. The roll out bed worked fine for me. This is a studio, no separate bedroom. Read the listing. My only suggestion would be to adjust the entry door- sometimes it was difficult to get the latch to lock. I talked with Thomas about this and he offered to fix it right away.

I think the most important part of overnight accommodation is the bed. There was only a couch and it was unclear

This was an ideal location for visiting my daughter in La Jolla. Perfect space for me. Super clean. Great little kitchen. Comfortable bed/couch. Will definitely come back for future visits.

Great place! I would recommend and stay again

Great for twenty somethings. Not great for older adults or those with back issues. My fault for not reading closely enough. I thought there was a bedroom with a real bed behind the door and that the pallet couch bed was additional for kids or such. This couch bed is the only bed, and it is hard and uncomfortable. The place was clean and functional, but the only table to eat at is a small wire bistro set on the patio, and the weather was not conducive to that when we were there.

We had a cozy stay here over the weekend. Thomas was a great host and was responsive to our questions. The bed was not the most comfortable, but we both still slept well after long days out doing activities. Also, the provided space heater was enough to keep the studio warm. I'd gladly stay here again.

Great place for a quick weekend getaway. Within walking distance to beach and restaurants and short drive to La Jolla Cove area.
