This is our 3rd or 4th year staying in this unti at Westwinds, after owning a similar unit many years prior. Westwinds remains the jewel of the Emerald Coast! This year we had more maintenance issues with the appliances, but MVH followed through to repair them.

This is our 4th year using my vacation haven. This was my least favorite unit due to the cleanliness. Showers had mold in the caulk/grout and the paint throughout was starting to show its age as a rental unit. 2 of the 3 hairdryers in the unit did not work and the golf cart would show fully charged, but would only last a short period of time. It would hardly make it up the hill with 6 of us on it at a full charge.

We stayed for my bachelorette trip with my mom, sister, grandma, and friends and it was so fun! This was one of my favorite places I’ve ever stayed at, and would recommend to others! We loved our stay in this unit! The condo was very large, it was clean, and the golf cart was provided as stated it would be. We have stayed in the Westwinds tower 3 other times, this is our favorite unit. We almost didn't come back to this resort because the last time we stayed (different unit/owner), the golf cart was being fixed and they couldn't provide another one. So we booked with our fingers crossed and were very pleased to see the gigantic golf available upon our arrival. I would say the only downside is the lack of a storage closet with beach items, each other unit we have stayed in had chairs, umbrellas, and sand toys that were available for us to use. It wasn't a huge biggie because we were able to rent them on the beach, just know that it will be an additional $250-$350 (almost worth it not to have to tote them back and forth yourself though). Overall, beautiful unit on the top floor with AMAZING views of the ocean. Would rent this unit again.

The silverware and pans appeared to never had been cleaned and the counters were sticky and greasy. Never used the Golf Cart so no review on that. We have rented this property for years and plan to continue. Great location and view. Unfortunately, construction in the lobby area required exiting the bldg to access the fitness center this year. Also had multiple problems with the water sensors in the bathrooms that caused all unit water to be shut off 4 times. Also quirky software used by rental company resulted in continuing emails almost daily about needing to sign contract for next year when already resolved, and despite multiple phone calls with rental company. Otherwise very nice unit.

We had a clogged sink in the master bathroom when we arrived but was quickly resolved by calling maintenance. Our water went off due to their Halo system, but we called the number to report it and within 15 minutes it was back on.

The views were unbeatable, we paid a premium and luxurious price for hassle free vacation. It was nice to have the golf cart but my vacation Haven will email you to death about rules and regulations and procedures. However my vacation Haven failed to follow through on the golf cart procedure the first night on arrival my phone was blown up by text and voicemails by my vacation Haven telling me that they did not complete the golf cart inspection and wanted me to do pictures and a review and report back the following day. The next day maintenance men showed up had the golf cart for over an hour, inspecting it and was a hassle. This is not what we pay luxurious price for. Condo was great cooking utensils were of poor quality and not one single plastic cup.

All in all --- a very nice stay. It was bumpy to say the least as we had no air conditioning the first day/night and did not feel like we were being heard. Also, the condition of the condo has deteriorated in a year's time. Screen doors broken. Wear and tear noticeable. There were also some roach sightings. But, we love the location and access to the golf cart. In the end, we appreciated any refund (as we did get some), but our first day was nothing but stress.

Had almost everything we needed. The view was wonderful. The use of the golf cart was great. You can get to the Publix with the golf cart without getting on the hwy. But, they said they have a cooler, no cooler so we bought one and left it for the next guest. Said they had sand toys, no sand toys so again we bought them and left them. The supplied umbrellas were both broken so we needed up having to rent some. When paying this much for a rental, these small things can make a big difference. There is also no dust pan to go with the broom to clean up. Access to the beach is very easy, pool is nice but the bar/food area was very limited and could only cook a couple of things as they did not have a cook. We really did not find any place we wanted to go that would take the discount cards that were provided. We would probably stay again.

Had a GREAT experience staying In this unit for our 1st trip to the Miramar Beach area! Loved it so much we are already planning to book another trip in the same unit if it's available for our dates next year! Only trouble we had was the water randomly shutting off for some reason during our stay and the fridge stopped working for about 24 hours. We lost some food and 2 ice cream birthday cakes. It eventually resolved itself somehow so other than that our stay was perfect! The view from the unit is breathtaking!

Property on cruise control
Location is great, but this property is not worth the money right now. I get the since they let it keep falling apart until it’s completely destroyed, then they fix everything and the ratings go back up. A lot of things were broken and when I called My Haven, nobody got back to me. I wouldn’t spend more than 250/night on this property.

Beautiful view and location. Easy check in. Master bath sink did not drain. Management was confused that we were staying there as maintaince people showed up 2nd day there and walked in without knocking to fix the couch which the previous renters must have made a compliant about. When my wife told them about the sink they said ok and left and never came back. Beach is crowded which is to be expected for destin on memorial day but they let people put up umbrellas and chairs right in front of the rental chairs which makes no sense.

Nice Condo with Great View but SHORT on supplies
We typically do 2-3 stays per year and switch it up between beach and ski trips. This is our 3rd VRBO/Abnb at a beach location and the 2nd in Destin, all of this to say we have some experience. Also let me state for the record that we rarely pay less than $400/night for a stay as we try to make the best memories possible so we do have higher expectations. Every stay we've been has had at least a small stock of supplies left-over from previous guests...BASIC things like sugar, salt, pepper, trash bags and the like. This property had NONE of that. To be fair, they do tell you in their rules that they only provide the basics to get you started, but I say it doesn't even qualify as the basics. We had ONE trash bag in the main bin, which was already small. We had 2 dishwasher pods, which could actually be enough depending on your group size, but not for us. So we bought all of these items, only to leave them behind (luggage already at weigh limits), knowing that this mgmt. company would then collect the supplies and not provide them to the guest. so we tried to leave as much as possible in the lobby for other guests of this CHEAP MANAGEMENT COMPANY. Maybe they throw away the food but I'd be surprised if they are throwing away trash bags and dishwasher pods. There were also no potholders. There were enough dishes and glasses, although nothing plastic...for kids and for taking down to the pool etc, would have been nice. They also don't provide beach towels. VACASA always provides us with a free beach towel and always have been VERY well stocked with all of the basics, usually even more than the basics. I get it..Covid...throw everything away...but that makes no sense if you really think about it. Does sugar, salt, cooking spray, trash bags etc really get infected and become a factor in transmission? I mean they already give a covid waiver.... It just seemed REALLY cheap not to provide more than 1 trash bag. So I called and they promptly replied that that is all we would get. I responded back in a professional but frank manner and got no further responses. How hard would it be to send a maintenance guy up with a couple extra trashbags as I had requested, in the name of customer service, regardless of policy? Well we made that request and were denied. We also noticed a roach in the unit, picture on phone to substantiate that claim. Only saw 1, so hard to say it's a mess in there, because it's not, but...just FYI. Everything else was good.

Winter getaway!
The condo is beautifully furnished with beautiful views. Unfortunately, the living room furniture is very dirty. We put sheets and blankets over them to sit on. The condo had not been cleaned before we arrived. It was dirty. I had to call and let them know after we arrived.

Our family had an amazing beach trip. It was exactly what we needed to rest and relax after this crazy year. The condo was spotless and had plenty of room for our family of 7. The views were spectacular since the condo was right on the beach! The only negative that we had was that the resort doesn’t allow any electric vehicles or motorcycles, except gold carts. My boys all have one wheels and we’re very disappointed that they were told they could not ride them in the resort.

Amazing condo, perfect location, responsive management!
Wow this condo was perfect in every way! As lovely as the pictures from the furnishings to the view. We had a few small items to bring to management attention when we arrived and not only were they quick to respond but also quick to remedy. The location was perfect and we enjoyed being able to drive the golf cart around the resort! We will definitely be back to this condo!
