Kommen Sie, genießen Sie unsere wie NEUE Hütte eingebettet in der Manistee National Forest an der Nordküste, sonnige Seite, der oberen Hamlin See. Das Haus wurde in den 1940er Jahren gebaut und wurde komplett renoviert / aktualisiert innen und außen. Die Einrichtung, Schränke, Geräte, Bettwäsche, etc. waren alle erst vor 9 Saisons neu und es ist immer noch sehr sauber, sauber und gut gepflegt. Sie genießen einen Panoramablick auf den gesamten oberen See und tolle Sonnenuntergänge über die Dünen direkt von Ihrem Deck oder dem Ufer. Angeln ist super direkt am Dock. Bootfahren, Schwimmen, Skifahren, Wandern, Weinprobe und andere lustige Aktivitäten warten nur für Sie! Es gibt auch eine gemeinsame Seebad Feuerstelle. Lake Michigan ist Minuten entfernt für ein Nachmittag Picknick oder schwimmen. Golfen an einigen der besten Kurse des Landes ist in der Nähe. Oder für diejenigen, die mehr körperliche Aktivität mögen, bringen Sie Ihre Fahrräder zum Reiten auf die Meilen von Wanderwegen im National Forest. Wenn Sie möchten, bringen Sie ein gutes Buch mit, das Sie lesen können, während Sie Ihr Lieblingsgetränk in einem Liegestuhl am See trinken. Wenn Sie auf der Suche nach 2 Hütten in unmittelbarer Nähe sind, bietet dieses Ferienhaus 2 Erwachsene und die Schatten am Hamlin See # 1 für 5 Erwachsene! (Siehe VRBO-Auflistung # 236973.) Toll für Freunde und / oder Familien, die gerne zusammen Urlaub machen, aber in verschiedenen Quartieren schlafen / bleiben. Alles erwartet Sie bei den Schatten am Hamlin See # 2. Wir leben auf dem Grundstück, angrenzend an diese Hütte, die etwa 20 Meter vom Wasser entfernt ist. Weil es so nah am See ist, bieten wir Ihnen einen Gartenwagen, um Ihre Zugehörigkeit zur Hütte zu nehmen, da man nicht zu Ihrer Hintertür fahren kann. Sie können das Wasser Läppen auf der Pause Wand oder auf der beigefügten Bootshaus Wand hören. Für manche kann dies ein entspannender, beruhigender Klang sein. Für andere……. Kinder ab 16 Jahren sind willkommen. Wir haben kein Boot mehr für Ihre Nutzung / Miete. Es gibt jedoch Jachthäfen am See mit Pontonbooten zu mieten.

Loved the place, exactly what I was looking for. Tucked in the peace of the Manistee National Forest you'll find this quiet gem. Great views of Hamlin Lake, a cozy cottage to relax and unwind, and not to far from all that Manistee and Ludington have to offer. Hosts were excellent and I look forward to returning. If you're into woods, water and quiet, it's perfect.

Cute little boat house with everything you need for a great getaway on the lake. Clean and very well stocked in all areas. From chairs and tables outside to TV and fully appointed house.
Owners were very helpful with the lay of the lake and the best places to fish and Sun. Also hiking trails near the house and a short drive to the fantastic lake Michigan.

The cottage was exactly like shown but even better views. Deb was very responsive and we had everything we needed. The cottage was very clean, Kitchen was well stocked with the necessities. It was perfect for our 4 night long weekend. Location was perfect for hiking and Lake MI beach at Nordhouse Dune area. Hamlin lake is a treasure by itself. I would definitely recommend this cottage.

We had a wonderful stay at The Shadows. The view was wonderful, the hosts were kind and helpful, the dock was easy to access and tie up to, and the parking was closer than what we envisioned. We definitely would stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay and loved the view of the lake. It is close enough to Ludington State Park that we were able to spend time hiking and going to the beach. Also close to town. Hosts are excellent would definitely go again.

2nd time at the shadows … first time in the cottage closer to the lake - absolutely wonderful. Some of the best relaxation we could have asked for - evenings at the firepit, days on the swing and listening to lake splash against the dock. We found this listing during the pandemic and desperately craved the peace and tranquility in spite of having the flexibility/freedom to fly to a vacation destination . We made the 6hr drive from columbus,OH because Deb and Mark’s place is just that comfortable, relaxing and exactly the dose of unplug we needed before the summer officially ends.
yes it is remote, absolute safe and they have already thought of everything. Just bring your groceries, your clothes and willingness to unwind.

Beautiful property, beautiful cottages, a bit of a challenge to get there but once there, no regrets. 30 minutes to Ludington, 20 minutes to Manistee. Hosts were so accommodating. Great experience.

We have stayed at the Shadows in the past
The house is great for 2 people but can accommodate 4. Very clean and comfortable. The location is close to Nordhouse dunes that has great hiking . We went into Ludington and Manistee, both great towns with State parks. Deb and Mark are helpful and friendly. Enjoyed the Adirondack and zero gravity chairs, lots of shade and sun on the property. Good for boating or kayaking. Would recommend this VRBO to anyone

Peaceful & Gorgeous View
The 5 mile gravel road is well worth it for this view. We brought our kayaks and it was a perfect place to paddle. My husband loved that he could fish right outside the cottage doors. The owners live close by but were very good about giving us space and privacy, yet responded quickly when we messaged them with questions.
We enjoyed the puzzles and games provided (Uno, Yahtzee) on the rainy days!
Well stocked kitchen where we made the majority of our meals (get groceries before you come, the nearest grocery stores are about 30 mins away).
Not having a washer and dryer was the only downfall but we were able to hand wash the things we needed and hang them on the clothesline provided for outside drying.
We would definitely stay again and will recommend to friends !
