Sehr gute Lage, direkte Sicht aufs Meer. Kleine Terrasse. Große Fensterflächen. Super Ausstattung. Modern. Gerade 4 Jahre alt. Sehr, sehr nette Inhaber. Jane und Russel. Russel hat uns sogar zum Start des Wanderweges gefahren. Und Jane hat uns sehr viele Tipps gegeben.

Jane and Russell (the hosts) were exceptional and made us feel really welcome. The property itself was immaculate, modern and extremely comfortable. The location was tremendous - peaceful Kaikoura beach frontage meant we could enjoy breathtaking views from the serenity of our balcony, while the township of Kaikoura was just a short and pleasant walk away. Back to our amazing hosts - we enjoyed the delicious breakfast on offer, and Jane and Russell were able to sort restaurant bookings during a busy Christmas period - making it a really special visit for us.

Everything was absolutely spectacular. The breakfast plus extras each morning was beautiful. The room was beautiful and the hosts could not have been more friendly or obliging. Would stay there again in a heartbeat. Beautiful view and so well placed for everything

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I have been traveling for business for 30 years and for pleasure for longer than that - the setting for the Shearwater Apartments is among the most beautiful places I have ever stayed. The apartment is lovely and the hosts are friendly, helpful and really attended to every detail to make sure I had a comfortable, enjoyable stay. I can’t recommend the hosts and their apartments highly enough.
Snacks and wine and a great breakfast were included.

Luxury with a capital L
The shower is amazing. The crockery was Royal Doulton. Cheese and wine to greet you and a fabulous breakfast.

Keyless locks - didn't have to worry about a key
Wasn't advised which unit we had been allocated so it was a guess on which one was ours; parking on site is limited especially if all the units are occupied.

fantastic location, super spacious , comfortable and new, great to have the extra touches like the cheese board,the breakfast items. couldn’t fault it, highly recommended.
to be fair we didn’t look closely enough at the message we were sent and had we done so we would have known how to get into the property….and we fully accept that was our doing, and we were sorry to cause any inconvenience, but the guy on the phone didn’t have to be quite so grumpy when we rang.

It is close to newly built, superb kitchen if you loves to whip ups meals. Supermarket is just a short drive away ( we went to New World).

Loved the location, comfortable bed, breakfast. We arrived early and the housekeeper (?) was very kind and allowed us to check in. The cheese and crackers were a nice touch.
The shower tap handle came away. Netflix was available, but had no way of logging in.
The tiled floors had not been vacuumed, and there was hair from the previous occupant. Also a lot of dust under the bed. The shower curtain needs bleaching.
Worst of all, booking.com sent us the incorrect door entry code. The stay was not good value for money.

The location was amazing, the continental breakfast was also great. The staff were helpful when we asked where the bbq was.
When booking there was no photos of the place we booked for (The back apartment) only photos of the front apartments.

Wonderful surprise to be welcomed with a cheese platter, and the fridge and cupboards stocked with breakfast options for our stay.

no tea towel provided, only power points in living area hidden behind seating unit, no clearly marked parking - I parked on the road outside. Towels and dishes were not changed as indicated in the guest guide. lack of cupboard space in bedroom

Everything was amazing. Absolutely no complaints. Would recommend to everyone and we would definitely stay again.
Personal preference - but a mixture of pillows would be good. Although they make the bed look good, not everyone likes huge fluffy pillows.

Location awesome. Didn't have breakfast but a great idea. Lay out of apartment was nice and we liked local art on the walls. Linen was very clean.
If the dust on the headboard had been removed would have been better. Water from shower ran under the shower door down almost to the toilet. Toilet roll holder on the wall is not secured properly and the bedroom was very noisy, my husband thought I had left the window open as you could hear the traffic clear as a bell when going past.
