This house is spacious, clean beds, big kitchen but be aware that it does not have a dishwasher, is a big 10 minutes walk from the beach, only one bathroom, narrow staircase to the second floor that makes it tricky to go down at night to the bathroom. There is a big camping site next to the house...We were happy we stayed only 3 nights for those reasons.

We had a great time staying at this house. Would definitely be interested in renting in the future. The location was so convenient in the property was very well kept. This was my first time, renting a vacation home and has given me confidence that it will not be my last.

Very clean cottage, nicely appointed and well stocked. We were a party of 7 and had a great time for the weekend. Beds are very comfortable, kitchen and bathrooms had all that we needed. Nice fire pit seating area. Cottage is close to Short Sands and downtown York Beach. Very nice rental!

Bedding comfortable. Location perfect. Staying in main house was fine. Have to think again renting with only one bathroom. Tub/shower needs attention. Does not drain properly. And though amenities included dishwasher pods…no dishwasher that we saw.

This was our 2nd year at the property. It is within walking distance to the downtown and short beach. Great yard with lights and fire pit, just remember to bring your own wood. Home is completely stocked for cooking and relaxing. Beds are comfortable. 1 bathroom is tough, but doable. Trash pickup is Tuesday, which we wish was included in the rental agreement. Woodwork around the back door should be replaced. Great house

My friends and I stayed at this property to attend a wedding nearby in York. The location was great, as it was just a quick 10 minute walk to downtown York. While the property sleeps 8, one of the bedrooms is a sunroom with no privacy because there is a window directly into the living area. We also had an issue with a blown fuse (the house could not manage running the multiple air conditioning units the house was equipped with at the same time), but the fuse box was locked in the basement an inaccessible to guests and we unfortunately had to wait a couple of hours until the property manager was able to come by to restore the power. Beware that if you accidentally forget anything at the house, the property management group will charge you $25 plus taxes and fees, simply to “search” for your item. We did not have a good experience with the property management group.

We had a great few days in maine. The house was very clean and well stocked. It is in a great location, you can walk to town and the beach. Very quiet area. Would definately stay again and will be looking for dates for next year.

We had a very accommodating stay. Plenty of room! Quiet area and close to the beach. The kitchen was well stocked. There was plenty of linens. Beds were comfortable. Nice outdoor area with a fire pit.

I stayed in this home with my children ages 15 and 21. We loved the location of this home ad we were able to walk back and forth to Short Sands. I did very little driving during our vacation, which was nice. The home was very clean and comfortable. Although we didn't use it, I loved the outdoor fire pit and lights. I appreciated that this home was pet friendly and there was not a hint of pets having been in the home. To make the home 5 stars, I would have appreciated a dishwasher and washer/dryer in the home. It was advertised that there were beach towels provided but there were only 2 beach towels in the home that sleeps 8. While the rest of the home was kept very cool with window unit air conditioners, I would have appreciated one in the master bedroom as that room got very warm without one despite keeping the blinds closed and the floor fan on. My oldest daughter slept on the trundle bed on the converted porch room adjacent to the living room and she would have liked to have a window shade or blind to be able to open and close for privacy while in her room. Overall we were very happy and had a great vacation in this home!

This was a great house, it fit our family needs and then some. The house was clean, communication was prompt. The walking distance to town and the beach was key. We loved York Beach!

We stayed here in June 2022 for a few days with temps in the 60s/70s. It was perfect beach weather. The house is about a 10 min walk down to Short Sands Beach and York Village. There is tons of shopping and restaurants to choose from. We walked to and from the beach every day with our 4 year old. I’m currently pregnant and it was still an easy walk. Since the weather was not too hot, we never had to turn on the AC. We kept the windows open and it was very comfortable during the day and at night. There is one bathroom which is connected to the master bedroom on the first floor. For anyone sleeping in the two bedrooms upstairs, it’s a little inconvenient at night to come downstairs to use the bathroom. There is private parking for 3 cars behind the house. The yard is shared with another house which I didn’t realize when booking. Another renter in another house would bring her dog outside since the yard was shared. We also had our dog with us and our dog doesn’t like other dogs. The yard is only partially fenced. Overall, it’s a great location for a beach getaway.

Perfect location
The rental was perfect for a quick getaway The house and property were super clean and well decorated. The bed was very comfy. There were books, cards, puzzles, balls, ladder ball, and camp chairs just in case. Perfect location, just 1/2 mile walk on side walks to short sands beach and shops. The rental company replied immediately to questions and offered very helpful hints on the lockbox! Great stay, would recommend!

Sencond time I’ve stayed here. Love it. Only feedback I have is to replace the gas grill outside. We couldn’t use it, the bottom was all rusted out.

Great house- bigger than pictures look!
This house was way bigger than it looks in the pictures! Location was perfect for a family with children! Nice back yard with plenty of space for the kids to run around!
There were a few suggestions we had. We couldn’t find a broom anywhere to clean up, no extra paper towels and only one dish towel. We didn’t see any pot holders at all.
We did see a few mouse droppings in the cabinets, specifically the entry way bench. That is to be expected in an older house, but maybe the cleaning people should be aware so they can check that specifically when cleaning!
We were denied an early check in for extra cleaning.
Other than those suggestion, the house was lovely and I would definitely stay again with my family!

We really liked this home. It has lots of sleeping beds, great AC, lots of pots, pans and a large spice rack, lots of bath towels, beach towels and camping chairs for the beach to use.
The only down side was that it has only one bathroom which we knew going into it. It does have a pocket door to separate the toilet space from the tub space. Both spaces have a sink.
I also wanted to note that the stairs going up to the second floor are fairly steep. We had two grandparents with us in their 70's so that was tricky for one of them. We had the other sleep downstairs. There is a chair in the living room that lift them out which they loved.
The house is only 1/4 mile from the beach...so easily walkable.
It has a nice table for playing games as well. The living room seating area was a little short but, not bad. They had other chairs you could bring in if need be. We didn't but, it was available though.
Overall, we would stay here again. Really nice little place. We really enjoyed our stay.

Convenient location
Convenient location just a short walk to the beach. Poor lighting with no light in stairwell which was dangerous at night if going downstairs to bathroom. My toddler found a single use eye drop container on the couch, which was gross, but otherwise seemed fairly clean. Overall pleased and would stay again!

Great Place to Stay!
The house was very clean and well stocked. The beds were comfortable. The location was convenient for walking into town. There were air conditioners in each room. We used the outdoor fire pit and enjoyed the large kitchen. We were very pleased with this property and highly recommend it.

nice cabin but lots of issues
first no early check in not even discussed which is very different then all other rentals I have rented which is a lot. They said didn't matter if it was available no early check ins so we had to wait in area since we got there early and it was freezing out. No broom, no heat in upstairs bedroom queen bed, moldy shower Curtin, q-tips dust under bed, no ice cube trays, no tissues, no warning that circuit breaker trips when using multiple kitchen appliances, we had to wait for 2 hours cause the agency didn't know the padlock on the basement wasn't really locked. Multiple chair legs wobbly and dangerous.

Actually better than the photos
This house is lovely inside and we were surprised when we walked in to find that the photos did not do it justice. It was both larger and lovelier than we expected. The walk to downtown was quick. And the separation between downtown and this home was welcomed. Most dinners we ate out, but the large kitchen and seating for everyone was great for breakfasts and hanging out. We would recommend this home for families, for sure.

We really enjoyed this home, everything was as listed. Quiet! Clean except under the beds, when I turned the fan on many dust bunnies escaped. All other areas of the house were neat and tidy. The entrance really needs some work. Boards on ramp are loose., and entrance into the house was awkward. Well decorated. Thank you!
