The place has all the charm and quirks of an old cottage, but it’s very well maintained and set up! Our 10yo loved sleeping in the attic space. We didn’t let the 6yo sleep up there because of the steepness of the stairs, but he was comfy in one of the other bedrooms. The internet is very fast. Backyard and hot tub are perfect. One of my favorite VRBO stays!

We WOULD stay here again. The house has so many personal touches and it feels like your home away from home. Hot tub, fire pit, VERY close to ocean, comfy beds and pillows. Washer, dryer, kitchen supplies, etc. WiFi, huge TV. The house is not on a main traveled road, so it's quiet. Nice walk into town and also to easy boardwalk hiking trail that leads to an astonishingly HUGE cedar tree!

The stay was fantastic!! We had pretty much everything we needed besides cooking oil and ziplock baggies. I will say, it was quite cold when you first got to the house. I completely understand saving money on heating, so I’m not necessarily complaining here, just giving a heads up! We wore our coats for the first couple hours as we had all the heaters going to warm the place up a bit. The location and quick access to the beach couldn’t be better! The house was quite cozy! We decided to stay upstairs. The led lights and fireplace set a nice ambiance for sleeping. Fenced backyard was amazing to have for our dog! Would have loved to have had a fire in the fire pit…but we didn’t really have the best weather consistently for it. The hot tub was really nice to have on these cold February days. It even ended up snowing one of the days we were there!

Overall we were happy, but for the price they charge it needs some TLC. The floors were very dirty, living room furniture stinks (smell) and the kitchen dishes were chipped and dirty. Loved the hot tube and the yard for our pets.

Great location, close to everything. Absolutely wonderful to have a fenced backyard, fire pit and hot tub!

Place is newly renovated and tastefully decorated. Loaded with all the amenities needed. Pet friendly which was vital for us. Only drawback is the house has a very strong mildew smell that did affect us. Fix that and it would be perfect.

We loved the big fenced yard for playing with our dog. The large fire pit was perfect. Responded quickly when contacted.

The property is just like it’s described on the website. So convenient to the beach, comfortable beds, nice back yard and hot tub. Our golden doodle loves the beach, and it was nice to be able to wash both her and ourselves afterwards outside. We didn’t give it a five because there were a couple of housekeeping issues, and although the kitchen was well stocked, there was no place to put groceries except on one of the two countertops…… A bit pricey for a small space, but the location was great.

I needed a last minute spot and Tom saved the day! He was easy to talk to, and the hot tub was so wonderful (room for 2!). Plenty of room to cook, the little sunroom makes a cozy spot to sip your first coffee of the day.

Overall happy with stay. Alot of dust found behind small couch in bedroom by window. Small blood stain noted on pillow after stripping bed sheets/ pillow cases. Rusty crochet balls in back yards scattered/ may be a concern with children/animals.

Our family has been going to Rockaway for decades. We've always stayed at the same hotel. Never again. This house is so comfy and cozy. Perfect location. Perfect host.

Really beautiful property and private backyard, the house has a lot of character and everything is easily labeled. Short walk right up to the beach. Loved the convenience of the washer and dryer as well :)

Property is well equipped and the location is excellent. We loved the hot tub and the fenced backyard for our dog. However, the mom in me couldn't get past the layer of dirt and grime everywhere. I'm not sure if its because it's early in the season, but the house needs a deep cleaning! I would give the property a second chance because of all the other positives and easy beach access.

I stayed here with my boyfriend (now fiancé) in 2019 to celebrate our anniversary and we knew we had to come back again! We stayed here this year to celebrate 6 years together and he proposed!!! There couldn’t have been a better place for us to celebrate our engagement! We love how comfy the house is and the hot tub is amazing!! Our two small dogs also loved exploring the big backyard. I loved using the towel rack heater too! We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay and will definitely be back again!

Great open layout for family time with huge dining table for games and meals. Nice big TV and cozy beds, not to mention the giant couch for movie-time lounging. Separate heaters in different rooms made for a cozy winter stay! We loved listening to records every morning before a walk to the beach. The little neighborhood trail is AMAZING! The beach reveal when you crest the hill is breathtaking every time. Host was QUICK to respond and very friendly. Quiet street and great birdwatching from the living room!

Great house. Great access to beautiful beach with Twin Rocks right there! Unfortunately my family and I had rented the house for the 2 days right after the Labor Day windstorm when all the wildfires in the state kicked into high gear. When we arrived, Rockaway was without power, as was much of the coast from Lincoln City on up. Tom was great – very quick to communicate with me and respond to my msgs – and offered to refund our trip if we chose not to stay. At the time is was still sunny & blue skies so we decided to stay and hope for the best and that the power would be back on soon. That actually didn’t happen and in a few hours the entire sky & area was inundated with smoke and an foreboding orange color. The next morning the power was back on, but the smoke was way way worse. Tom was very understanding of our decision that we felt it was safer for us to leave and offered and promptly refunded our 2nd night that we didn’t stay. We were really disappointed that our trip didn’t work out – but we will def be back to try again!

Great location close to the beach. You just have to find the right trail! This place was great. Community is awesome. Close to many famous spots. Quiet and peaceful. The backyard was perfect. Hot tub was on the outs but Tom made it right. Cable and Roku made it perfect. We will be back. The best part for me was the location to the beach. Within just a couple minutes you have your own private beach with very little traffic. Perfect for those with dogs. Tom was great. I made a few small suggestions I know he will take care of making this an even better place for new families making the trip. I recommend this to anyone wanting a relaxing place to hang. We stayed a week during the 4th of July weekend. We missed the show due to COVID but the beaches were packed with people lighting off the big boy fireworks. You have to go see the purple camper for some caramel popcorn and great conversation. Oh and definitely check out the Sand Dollar for some great food. I’d have to say the best part was going just down the road a ways to the rent a boat and set your own crab pots at a separate location, not tied to Tom or VRBO, It’s $110 for 2.5 hours and you get to eat your limit. They cook it for you on site. Great time.

The property was wonderful, the bedrooms and space was perfect, big back yard for my dog to run around, super easy and beautiful walking access to the beach, and just all around amazing. I even forgot my dog’s leash at the house after we left, and Tom was so kind enough to take it and let me pick it up at his place in Portland where I live! Highly recommend.

Checking in was super easy and the home was ready to go, warmed up, clean and very well stocked when we arrived. The TV is awesome. The home has a definite vintage feel, but it’s not lacking in anything! We also loved that the homeowner wasn’t stingy with anything! I mean, stuff like seasonings, condiments, dishes, cooking pans & utensils, paper towels, shower supplies! We’ve all been in those homes where the cupboards are ridiculously bare, there’s ONE roll of toilet paper for your weekend stay, and literally 2 towels to use. Not this place. It was the complete opposite! The hot tub was immaculate & at the perfect temperature when we arrived. The bed was extremely comfortable too. Oh, and the bathroom has this really cool light up mirror along with a towel rack that heats up your towels while you are showering!! Anyway, this home, by far was one of our favorites. When we’re in the area again, we will definitely book it if it’s available! Great job Tom in going above & beyond for your paying guests! 😊�👍�🏾�

Couldn’t have found a nicer beach cottage for dog owners. Close walk to beach, fully fenced back yard, hot tub/outdoor shower. Nice remodeled house with top notch appliances.

This house was exactly as described. We rented it for our girls vacation and it was the perfect place for us. It was easy walking distance to the beach and also had a fire pit in the backyard to enjoy.

Lovely little place with tons of thoughtful amenities! The house is full of charm, the back yard was absolutely our favorite. Walking distance to the beach- no shoes required! We are already discussing when we can come visit again- thank you, Tom!

Our family stayed 4 nights and did enjoy our stay. Communication with the owner was always fast and he seemed friendly and even allowed us to check in a couple hours early. Super helpful when traveling with small children. The location was fantastic and such a beautiful and easy walk down to the water. Even though the sq footage was small the use of space and the overall feel of the house seem much larger which was very nice. The new kitchen table in the dining room was much enjoyed with our family of five. Having on site full capacity washer and dryer was truly a lifesaver! The huge TV in the living room was perfect for night time movies (only after figuring out how to turn the thing on for of course) lots and lots of blankets we sure did appreciate this as we were short of space in our SUV so not having to haul a bunch of our own was helpful. However cleanliness and some TLC to the home and backyard was disappointing! I will give the owner the benefit of the doubt that most likely he doesn’t even understand that this is going on and is in the responsibility of his cleaning company. Please find a new one your cute little home deserves better. To list a few examples but not limited to: Underneath both beds in the home we found thick dog hair and dirt clearly that was accumulated over weeks and weeks of not being touched. My youngest son found a empty bottle of soda underneath the spare bedroom bed. The entertainment center in tv area was literally caked with dust and I mean caked. The hot tub had sand on the bottom before we even had a chance to get in. (most rentals that we have been to actually changes the water with each guest) The sofa desperately needs a deep shampoo and had a musky smell to it. A few doors had locks that either were difficult to use or didn’t work at all. The backyard need some serious TLC with overgrown side area grass/ shrubbery was taller than my two-year-old I was afraid I was going to lose him out in “the jungle”. Parts of the fence were made from cheap barbwire that was sharp on his hands if he was to run up and touch it. I literally had to follow him around everywhere definitely not kid friendly. With all this said the positive communication and the home over all being in a great location with a fair price our family would consider staying here again as long as it was a different cleaning company for sure. We had a great getaway, and this house served us well. The table was large enough for everyone to have a comfortable seat, there was plenty of seating in the living area. Comfortable beds, and having laundry was amazing. We had tons of fun in the hot tub and the quick walk to the beach was amazing with the kids. Lock on the front door needs replaced, it was very difficult to lock and unlock.
