When I normally visit rental stays, the environment is a bit comercial, but this place was a beautiful rendition of a life well lived! The initial greeting and welcoming was awesome, the unsaid vitrue of welcoming someone into your space was authentic and genuine. We felt recieved and welcomed. The amenities and hospitality are everything you need to enjoy, relax, refresh and recharge. Thank uou fou for allowing us into your spaces. Also, check out the books they have some great mental escapades on shelves.

Very roomy house with a nice upper deck and a nice, covered area downstairs. There is a nice dock to fish off of, my group did catch fish. The house is stocked with all the good tools you need to cook. Make sure you buy what you need before going to the house unless you want to make a 15-mile trip to Walmart. The owners met us upon check-in and gave us the grand tour, very helpful for us.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The house is absolutely amazing & owners are very helpful & easy to reach. We stayed for 5 days with adults & kids and everyone had a blast. We enjoyed the fish lights, the gorgeous sunsets, the fishing & crabbing & ping pong table. This is our 2nd time staying here & it is the best. Thank you!

Property was very neat and clean. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets. The owner was a pleasure to interact with and was always willing to answer questions. The house overall was a dream and we already spoke about another stay. On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd give it a 12. Its a must rent.

This house was the perfect size for my family (myself & husband, 2 kids, my adult brother, and my father). We were impressed with the cleanliness and the activities that were available for us at the house. We spent most of our time fishing off the back dock and kayaking. The beach access across the street was easily accessible and was not as busy as it would be if we would have been closer to the center of the town.
We loved it so much that we hope to be back next year!!

Every year in March we select a family destination and Galveston this year was wonderful. Loved the fishing & crabbing off the dock, beautiful scenery & sunsets, the house was really comfortable, had all amenities, and the commercial ice machine a bonus! Our host was very accomodating. We look forward to returning next year.

This place is amazing. We had 2 families (that are best friends) plan a winter break vacation to some place warmer than Maryland. We nailed it with this house. Our teenager girls all bunked in the upstairs room. It was a week long slumber party. The view is spectacular and Ben was a pleasure to deal with. Would definitely recommend this house for the family who wants to relax with a great view.

Our family had a fantastic time at Ben's house. The location is perfect for fishing, relaxing and enjoy what all Galveston Bay has to offer. The view is wonderful around sunset time. Ben is a great host and super responsive to whatever question and need that we have. Would love to stay again in the future!

Great property in a great location away from all the hustle and bustle of the big beach. Very close to San Luis pass and several beaches for fishing or swimming. Massive gar under the lights at night and a few trout. Fishing wasn’t on that weekend, but we did have crabs in the trap. Highly recommend this off the beaten path gem. Owner is quick to respond and very nice.

Stayed for 6 days. The owners Ben and Linda met us at the house and showed us around the property and let us check in 2 hours early. The house is absolutely beautiful. You can watch sunsets and stars right of the top porch and fish of off the bottom porch. We will definitely be booking this property again.

The property is just at it state's. Beautiful sunsets, very quiet and peaceful. Great fishing from the docks. Great swimming area, right off the docks. The house had everything you may need. We rented a 6 seater golf cart, they delivered right to the house. We had easy access to the beach and the pool. We will rent this place again, awesome places! AC works great!!!

Our family was looking for stuff for our elderly parents, ourselves and the young ones and this was perfect. My parents were able to fish right downstairs from the house, we crossed the street to fun at the beach and the young ones kayaked right off the house dock at sunset...truly quality family time.

Oh, how the weather did not cooperate for our visit to Laguna Pescada but that just really didn't matter. When the rain and cold came in, we had a front-seat view of the water and gorgeous scenery. The birds were as incredible as the performance the sky put on. When the cold or rain cleared, fishing and paddleboarding were our chosen activities. Walking the neighborhood was great as well. The location of this property really sold us initially and after visiting, we know we'll visit again. Thank you, Ben, for everything. Our family enjoyed our time at Laguna Pescada.

This was one of the best family trips we have ever had, thanks to Ben and his beautifully set up home. Teenagers are always a quandary as to what keeps them entertained. This home offered so much they were absolutely busy all the time. From the kayaks, ping pong and floating raft they were active all day. Not a great time for fishing but that didn't deter. This is truly the most ideal home for a family and fully stocked with everything you could need. Thank you, thank you for this amazing family vacation!!!

Awesome vacation home!
We enjoyed staying here so much! Ben and his wife met us at the property to show us around and answer any questions. We enjoyed fishing from the beautiful dock. Ben was always available to answer fishing questions and was prompt with responses. Our family enjoyed the hammocks and kayaks. The community pool was very close, as well as the beach. The kitchen was very well stocked with anything we needed. Great family vacation!

A MUST SEE
This is our 2nd time staying at the Laguna Pescada and we absolutely love this home. Mr. Owens stayed in communication with us our entire stay when we had questions. It's nice to wake up and be able to fish right off the dock. This time, they had a huge water pad that we could tie up to the dock area and just relax and float. The ice machine alone makes the stay 100 times better because you're not constantly running to the store to get ice. I can't say enough great things about this place. We absolutely love it and plan on visiting again soon.

Perfect getaway with boat, family, friends, dog
The view from the property of the bay inlet is spectacular. Wrap around porch is perfect for sitting outside listening to birds, reading, relaxing. Boat slip, fishing off dock, kayaks, almost next door to pool and a minute from the beach...endless fun. Kitchen has EVERYTHING you need and more. Loved our trip.

Relaxation Paradise
Comfortable and quiet property on the bay. Great fishing and crabbing from the dock right out the back door. The beach is only a couple of blocks away and access to kayaks added to the activities. We had a very relaxing week as we got away from it all.

Good house good location
Location was wonderful, we could do fishing right at the back of the house and walk to the beach in 5-10 minutes. We actually caught many croakers, the kids had a blast.
The house was nice and cozy, it was clean and had all the supplies we needed. The owner was very responsive and hospitable. We all enjoyed the stay!

Great location and amenities
Family trip of 10 ( 3 teens and 7 adults). The house was right on the water and had fabulous unobstructed views. Outdoor spaces are lovely. Loved the swings and hammocks. Fishing lights awesome. Amazing to see how many fish there are in the water. Well appointed kitchen. The commercial ice maker was amazing. Now I want every vrbo to have one. It’s like a 2 min walk to the pool. And such a short distance to the beach only about. 1-2 minute drive. Owner has a nice supplies of pool and beach toys for use.
Only downside was the distance to downtown Galveston, about 25-30 minutes. But a nice drive. And it’s fun to see all the brightly colored houses a long the way.

Perfect Multi-Generational Vacation
The house was perfect for 3 generations. We were able to fish at anytime off the dock. When it became too hot, or the mosquitoes too numerous, my Mom could head inside. When my teenagers got bored they could head to the community pool or paddle around in the kayaks. When the fish weren't biting we could all head to the beach - which wasn't crowded due to the distance from Galveston proper.
Ben met us in person and gave us a personal tour. He had already set out some crab traps and gave plenty of fishing tips.
I had brought all my own fishing gear, but Ben had plenty of gear at the house to borrow. The crab traps kept us fed, but we did catch more at night on the beach using a flashlight and landing net.
The ice maker is a definite bonus! No need to run to the store before any outing. The paddling gear, beach chairs and toys were also a welcome amenity. The kitchen was fully stocked, pans big enough to fry my 15" & 17" speckled trout and pots big enough to cook 6-8 crabs at a time.
The beds were soft, the hot water was hot and the toilets had pressure assisted flush. What more could you ask for?

Chilling and Relaxing
What a perfect place for chilling and relaxing with beautiful views. One morning we woke up to a gorgeous rainbow! I spent many hours in the hammock sipping frozen drinks while my husband enjoyed the fishing and crabbing. The big kids enjoyed the kayaks and little ones loved their private attic bedroom. We are not "beach people" so this was the perfect compromise to be by water without the sand, but for those who want that, the gulf is only a short walk away. I recommend this home if you want a nice relaxing get away but still close enough to the fun activities in Galveston. Thanks Ben and Linda for sharing your home with us!

All the comforts of home
We stayed four nights and we hated leaving, we fished, grilled, went kayaking and watched the sunset from the deck. The owner and the house were exceptional, enjoyed the very easy access to the beach. We will definitely book this property again.
