Alvorens we naar het hotel reisden waren we in Valle Maggia en daar was ik lelijk ten val gekomen en heb daar een enkelblessure opgelopen. Na een aantal uren te hebben doorgebracht in het lokale ziekenhuis in Locarno waren we bijna te laat voor de check-in. Ik had gebeld en de situatie uitgelegd; de dame van de receptie was zo aardig om op ons te wachten en te helpen met het vinden van de beste parkeerlocatie nabij. Dat is pas service! Gelukkig hadden we de kamer op de benedenverdieping, vlak naast de receptie, maar dit was ook de kleinste kamer dus het was een beetje behelpen met de bagage maar verder is dit een tophotel, ontzettend aardig personeel, meelevend en begripvol.

De grootte van onze kamer. Let daar op: boek niet de standaardversie als je niet alleen reist. Verder valt er op deze fantastische locatie niets af te dingen.

The location + the hotel personnel were great! The hotel was older but very cute and updated. The room was comfortable (AC!!!) + had several extras (bottled water + coffee + fruit)!! Breakfast was small but very nice (great cheese + fresh fruit)!!

Not much could be improved - maybe an uodate to the bathrooms. My colleague mentioned that the duvet could be a bit better (one sweats under polyester blends).

Excellent location for easy access to train station, buses, and ferry. The staff was very helpful. The European continental breakfast was delicious, and the room was very clean.

The air conditioning did not work very well, so the room was a bit warm.

The European/Swiss continental breakfast was delicious! Fresh bread, great coffee, and delicious Muesli and jams were just part of the morning meal. The staff was kind, polite, and very helpful with information about the area. The room was small/quaint, but very clean and well decorated. The hotel sits directly across from Lake Maggiore and the pier from where people can catch the boat to cruise the lake. Bus and train access is just a few minutes away.... a great location! I would definitely visit this hotel, again!

I need to remember that "air conditioning" in Europe is quite different than what we have in the United States. There was "air conditioning" with a fan built into the room, but it did not cool down the room to the degree I expected. Once the windows were opened later in the evening, a cooler breeze came through and the temperature of the room was fine. This region is often hot and humid like in the Mediterranean, so just be prepared to sit outside along the lakeside where the breeze will keep you cool until evening time.
