Room small very outdated and dirty

Nicks is very well located between Jl Bisma and Jl Monkey Forest. You can easily walk into Ubud through Nicks and over a little bridge, nice! Breakfast is great with a choice of Indonesian and western options. They've got a nice pool too. The room has a nice little lanai to sit and enjoy the outdoors which is especially nice at night.

The AC worked great but was a little noisy. There were no tissues in the room but otherwise I have no concerns.

The pension is surrounded by the nature. It is wonderful to wake up in the morning in this amazing place. Everyone is very kind. We asked for a room change because of a rooster waking up us at 4 am two nights. And they were super helpful to change the room.

We had some communication issues in English. The bed sheets were not soo clean.

Amazing garden with rice fields, meandering stairs, flowers, and statues. The nights where nice so we could keep the windows open, and in the morning you woke up to bird song. In the night some cute frogs. No mosquitos! To have a nice outdoor space with the room was amazing as well.

The bathroom could use an update

Basic amenities were not available like hot water, no water pressure for first floor flats, hairdryer and breakfast was very basic.

The location is beautiful and the people so kind, the room was ok and the view was great, breakfast was just acceptable and should be improved on

We enjoyed our stay at Nicks. Food, Stay, Staff, Feel of Nature, Ambience, Hospitality, and Traditional Dance Program all have a 5-star rating experience. The Property was awesome and will be back soon to experience more. Wish you to continue the good work... A highly recommended place to be at Ubud.

It’s location. A fairly quiet road but close enough to walk to the restaurants & other attractions .

Location. The whole place was so calm. The staff was very welcoming.

The breakfast bread.

Ideally located for walking around Ubud. Removes the problem with finding a parking space (at that time, impossible. maybe better now with changes to rules? ). Room, small but clean and absolutely fine for what we needed. Good atmosphere, very green. incredible really as in the middle of bustling Ubud. Breakfast overlooking the rice fields on morning - very pleasant.

Staff seemed very tentative in dealing with us. I’m used to Bukit so maybe a different style. Did we get an upgrade from one large double to a double plus a single (had a child with us)? Don’t know - they never said anything…. thanks if we did. One word of caution: security is very poor. There is a gang (alleyway) at back of property- great for getting out on to the streets. Completely unguarded so anyone can walk in to the property. The locks on the doors to cabins are laughable. We didn’t even need to undo the ‘padlock’ to get in to ours. I could have got into any of them with a small screwdriver in seconds. We locked our laptops, iPad in our car instead. How was our stay? Will we come back? Any issues? They won’t know as we never got asked.

great location and the pool was nice to swim in.

all the steps to the family rooms are a mission with a pram. the toilet didn’t flush and no TV like in the pictures. I found the beds uncomfortable but that is a personal preference.

The pillows (smells a little odd), the air-conditioning (not powerful during daytime) and there was no tissue paper in the room (only toilet papers available)

location was close to main street but not quite as busy/loud, room was spacious and air conditining was cold, plenty of hot water in the shower, pool was well maintained with very nice loungers, free breakfast had a lot of variety

our front door had some gaps in the wood panels which let bugs in (it's the tropics), our room was in the same building as reception and people woke us up at 6:30a most mornings chatting outside (not sure if they were staff or guests) so probably ask for a room in the back of property next time

Bed was a bit uncomfortable

Good location within Ubud with a handy little bridge to cut across into Monkey Forrest Road. It looks very Balinese in terms of leafy surroundings, moss covered statues etc in the gardens. My kids loved the pool. very friendly staff.

To caveat the following negatives - the room was a good price so we weren’t expecting luxury by any means, and staff did deal with issues very promptly and politely, so if you are travelling on a budget and just need somewhere to rest your head it would be absolutely fine. However to manage expectations, the room felt dated and in need of a deep clean e.g. mould on walls and cracking paint, toilet seat looked grotty and worn, sheets were clean but stained. There were weird pebble covered floors in the bathroom that were uncomfortable to stand on when having a shower. The toilet filled up a lot when there was heavy rain to the point where I thought it was going to spill over and I could hear it gurgling away while I was lying in bed at night. The lock on our door also broke at one point but staff managed to fix it quite promptly.

location was super. walking distance to Campuhan Ridge, Monkey Forest, and more importantly for me to the main streets and markets of Ubud. but quiet enough in a lane off the Main Street. the view from the garden was so relaxing. laundry is convenient. and breakfast was simple and nice. peaceful and beautiful resort with family vibes.

hot water inconsistent.

1. Convenient location. It's not only near market, restaurants and stores but also easy to move to other streets by using shortcut. 2. Kind and supportive staff They were very informative and helpful. 3. Beautiful garden Just..wow

Just about bathroom and power outlet! The bathroom was dark and damp and the showerhead was hanging too far. And the bathroom door was rusty. Also there was only one available power outlet to charge my phone inside and it was broken.

The environment. Good facilities. The small bridge leading to street behind was a plus. the whole area was very clean.

The room and the bathroom weren’t very clean. We didn’t have a soap dispenser and only one towel per person - no other towels for hands/face. Not the best place to stay, but it’s affordable and cheaper.
