Beach access. Location is favourable

Staff attitude. No amenities at all. In fact we were even asked to buy shower caps if we need. Rooms were small. The hotel used a different rate of exchange for USD than what was online. The bar was severely understocked, actually it was empty. The chef told us he doesn't know how to make an omelette.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The location was excellent. The breakfast was tasty and there were many options, particularly for a vegan. The resort was right on the beach with private cabanas.

Initially, the room needed some extra sweeping, especially along the edges and in the corners. Due to low voltage from the grid, the A/C did not run one night which made the room a bit warm.

I liked the nature at the hotel ,was quiet and not so busy ,buffet set up ,two pools ,very close to the beach and lots of restaurants around

Needs much renovation(seems kinda old ),dirty beach at times ,should look more into conservation e.g having glass water bottles instead of plastics each day .

The place looks exactly as it does in the photos. Beautiful and serene. They serve good breakfast with many options. The double rooms with a balcony are spacious and comfortable. Staff are friendly and welcoming. The are two pools both well maintained. Be sure to go on the excursion that William organizes! I had a blast.

If possible, they could provide more lunch and dinner options on site.

-Walking distance to the village -private beach with guard (so no beach boys problem when you are sumbathing) -kind staff -very very clean pool -we got a upgrade -breakfast was good - amazing sea view -you can ask thr staff to pick a coconut for you from the tree on the property - massage was medium -every day 2 new bottles of water and towels -they had a baby bed for our little one I would come back to this place

-no restaurant during day or night - when you have a beach front villa you have to share your balcony and livingroom with other guests(you can lock you room but not the main front door) -the windows in the room have no net so the moskitos are having fun at night

Fantastic pool and beautiful beach. Short walk into town. All staff very nice. would definitely stay again

The food was sub-standard. Cheap ingredients and lacking variety.

It wasn't the worst place I have been to but one could tell that it was not the same place that had once earned great reviews

We knew there was a problem because there was no one to greet us when we parked at the front of the hotel. There was one lady at the reception and she looked bored to death. She didn't say hello. Just looked at us with a 'what do you want?' expression. The place was rather empty but they explained that the guests go elsewhere for lunch. Long story short, I think this place has not recovered from the pandemic. We chose the place because of the great reviews but those reviews describe a place that no longer exists. The staff look bored and demotivated. Customers check out after one night. The grounds look like someone is trying to maintain the place but is not doing a good job. Overall, would not recommend it at this time (December 2021)

Crystal Bay Resort is located in one of the most beautiful beaches in Kenya.

The breakfast could have been better. But it is understandable because of limitation of COVID 19.

The location is amazing and the resort is very clean as well.

Both the people and atmosphere were wonderful.
