Very pleasant stay at The Yala City Guest House. We only stayed one night because we wanted to do a safari at Yala national park the day after and rapidly move on to our next destination. Despite our short stay, Lakshitha, our host, and his wife welcomed us and immediately made us feel home. They gave us some tips to discover a couple of very cool places in the area and they prepared for us an amazing dinner the day we arrived and yet another one after the safari the day after, even though we had exceeded our checkout time for a few hours already. We also asked them if it was possible to have breakfast before the safari, so they arranged a little box with a delicious egg sandwich, a couple of fruit pieces and a juice to take with us to the safari, which was exactly what we needed. We literally couldn't have had more for the price we paid. Thanks again!

The room itself was clean and the bed was comfortable. The mosquitos in the area were relentless, but our host made everything in his hand to help us deal with that.

Very friendly hosts, clean room and bathroom (including warm water), reasonably priced Yala Safari tour offers, sizeable Western breakfast with huuuge fruit plate, centrally located with bus stop to be reached in 3 minutes by foot. Honored to have been the young generations' first guests :)

A/C had to be paid on top of room rate, would strongly advise to get it during dry season as it was brutally hot when we visited in mid-August

I think One of the best place in thissamaharama. We stay one night. Garden was superb. There are 6 rabbites in the garden place.. one thing meals are very good. That family do it very better...there are funny games also chese, Dart, Ludo & badminton.. so we end wonderful journey in there... so i very recomended this place for anyone who went yala or kataragama

There are some mosquitos in the garden eveing.i think its come from outside but its no matter.

We enjoyed very much our stay at the property. Only 3 minutes walking distance to town center. Ro om was very nice and clean and we had a nice terrace with the garden view. The owners were very kind to offers us breakfast as a treat for the New Year and also gave us some delicious pastries for our journey to our next destination. Would highly recommend this place.
