the location and the rooftop terrace
we had paid for a room with a balcony but the one we got had only a French balcony with no seating. the hotel did give us a discount after we complained.

My boyfriend took me there as bday gift and couldn’t have been better, loved the artsy concept, loved the breakfast and the idea of going your own eggs and crepes, amazing view and location

staff was impressively friendly and accommodating.
NO hotel staff on duty over-night. if any guest has a health emergency or injury there is no body to help or assist except with an awkward effort to find someone. this is a dangerous condition.

A lot of care and attention went into creating this lovely hotel. The upstairs terrace is sensational. Our room opened to the green lawn…a must for me. Comfortable, gracious, will

The women at the reception are all capable and lovely. Ask for the map to the valleys nearby. if you like to hike, it’s fabulous and then some.

Everything was exceptional. I would recommend this hotel as a true example of what first class service looks like. The photos, as great at they are, don’t do justice to how beautiful, well maintained and clean the hotel was. The service and attention to detail are some of the best I’ve ever seen. The heated pool, restaurant, breakfast options were just incredible. Thank you to everyone for making this a truly unforgettable stay.

Very friendly staff/management. Great location. Lovely food. Roof top terrace and uniqueness of rooms made it extra special. Would recommend.
No Air Con although there were ceiling fans. Also no drinks in room aside from water - would’ve preferred to be able to make myself a cup of tea or coffee in the room.

Everything was perfect. Only thing worth mentioning is that when you order food from the terrace, it arrives on a dim waiter. we were told to wait at the lift and were confused at first.

It was very hot when we stayed there, Having a room on the top floor just below the roof on the south side and having just a ceiling fan made for a very uncomfortable night. Parking can be a hit or miss affair. If your lucky you can park at the hotel. If not, you get the to park in a public parking 400m away. You cannot reserve a spot in the hotel’s parking up front.

Great breakfast and fantastic staff. The rooftop pool and bar are a lovely place to hang out and the food was excellent. A really good location, handy for restaurants, boat trips and the shopping in Ascona. We'll go back.

The place was amazing very nice atmosphere and very well decorated. The room was comfortable and good in space. The bed was very comfortable.
I didn't like that we couldn't have dinner at our hotel due to the live session of the jazz festival. As we didn't know I would expect an email before to let us know in advance. Also I would like to be able to have a menu for the rooftop and the pool all day. As the lunch is only served between 12:00 - 2:00 and that's not ideal if you had late breakfast.
