Everything was really nice and clean , Barbara was pleasant , the bed was comfortable and clean , bathrooms clean , open spaces , lots windows , breakfast good choices !

Breakfast was generous, the location is also great.

It was a little bit difficult to understand how to get to the room, kind of a quest. You have to read your email with all their instructions - first open the front door, then find the right box with a key and then your room.

First of all, the location is amazing, so close to the train station. The house is beautiful and we were lucky and we could see the Moorish Castle from our window. The garden is amazing, so traditional and truly feeling like a home. The breakfast was fantastic, way better than expected, it had so many options. The bathrooms were clean, the room was clean. The staff was extremely helpful and the check in process was easy. They are very communicative and they can adjust things according to your needs, it was lovely!

Maybe the throw-in pillows on the beds are not needed, they didn't feel as freshly clean as the rest of the bedroom.

I ansolutely adore the place. From the outside the house looks like a fairytale. And inside it felt like at my grandma's - so warm, nice and calm it was. Location is close to the train station. Breakfast was balanced and tasty, they have plant-based milk and boiled eggs among all. Special thanks to wonderful Barbara :)

The only insignificant weakness is sound isolation because of which you should not use the restroom from 10 pm to 8 am. Though, if you organize your time well it won't be a problem for you.

A nice old house with the garden in the centre of Sintra.

Unfortunately, we where not prepeared for such a humble accomodation, so probably I'm not the right person to comment. Our room was super small. The host told us in advance that the house is not soundproof, but deffinetly we didn't expected to here every door opening, every step, every house entering, every word... The bad itself wasn't uncomfortable. Breakfast is basic and you have to wash dishes and cutlery you have used.

Small room, small window.

The location was very good, walking distance to train and tour bus.Close to town and restaurants. We had a very small balcony that we could sit on and see the Moorish castle. The breakfast was excellent and there were many nice places inside and out to sit and eat. There was also some table and chairs outside in a beautifully landscaped yard if you just wanted to sit. The staff was very nice and helpful. We met Barbara who was a great employee very sweet

There was some difficulty with our getting in. The owner/manager was suppose to email a gate code since we were coming in after 4pm however I was not able to get internet service after noon on check in day due to traveling so did not have access code to get in, had to walk down to library at end of street to get my email. Once we got through the gate the combination code we had to use to get our key out of lock box did not work. We tried several times and two other guests who had arrived also both tried many times. We finally called owner/manager who was a little rude telling us that the code was correct, that others had used it and it worked fine telling us to keep trying which we did to no avail(he never offered to come and help) finally he said to try and change numbers around which we did and it worked.So he had given us the wrong sequence of numbers, pretty much talked to us like we ,all four of us, were incompetent and never even apologized.Rude! Luckily for him his staff was awesome and his place was nice and that was the only time we had to deal with him. Very poor customer relations though

the building is an historical building and easy to reach from Sintra Station

there are timetables to respect to shower, two bathrooms only for about 8 rooms in the bathrooms, you can't put the toilet paper in the toilet but only in the bin. there are no places to hang things and the surfaces looks dirty. moreover, no shower gel is available but only a bar of soap to share. from one room to the next, everything can be heard. also the rooms are not really clean and few sockets are available.

The room was nice, clean, facilities good! The host was super nice, I would totally recommend to stay here and from here to explore Sintra. Nice environment and garden, cosy!

The walls are a bit thin, so you can hear when someone comes and goes on the hallway. Not much of a problem for me though:)

The location was excellent- close to train station and town and away from the hustle and bustle of the of the town. The bed was comfortable, breakfast plentiful with good variety. What made our stay special was Barbara- super pleasant, generous and attentive to the needs of all her clients.

one of the house rules is to cut down on the noise because of the walls being thin- fair enough in an old house. But the toilet was terribly loud and noisy. maybe the owner should considered buying a new toilet.

Breakfast is lackluster, and the cleaning is not optimal, the place is a little dirty and the rooms doesn't get cleaned

Excellent location. Just what i needed for an overnight stay.

The instructions to get in was like solving a Sherlock Holmes puzzle :)
