No WiFi and DSTV was not working

We love Zimbali and the suite was well located with access to the main hotel facilities and a daily shuttle to the Valley of Pools. The entire unit is airconditioned which is great for the North Coast heat and humidity. The suites have a generator so loadshedding didn't bother us much. The unit is serviced daily.

I didn't know that the unit only has showers, this was a challenge with our toddler. There are a couple of small maintenance issues such as the extraction fan not working in the main bathroom and a lack of plug adaptors to get two point plugs working. The vervet monkeys are pests, don't feed them and close all doors and windows when leaving the unit. The frying pans are very old and not great quality and the cutlery a bit of a mish-mash of few and unmatching tools. Very important, the beach is not a swimming beach with no nets or lifeguards. I was hoping for daily trips to the beach and this was not possible. Entry to the Estate was a mission, especially during our stay as the Sunday staff didn't capture our biometrics and subsequently the security had to go find the paperwork every time we returned. Best to insist they capture biometrics on arrival!

apartment 104 has roaches and it is damp and musty. Monkeys are a nuisance too. There was no shampoos and soap provided either.

Wifi was weak.

Location and security was excellent. Unit was comfortable and private. Perfect for a family of 4.

No fresh towels. Broken toilet roll holder and the worst part was that the main bathroom extraction fan could not be switched off. It ran the entire night making it difficult to sleep. I reported it twice but a very slow response from the agent. It was fixed the night before I checked out.

The admission is a nightmare as my 4 year old daughter described it. A totally uncoordinated event I wish no holidayer to experience. Please hire competent staff. Stop using security for jobs that require education!!!! Its a disgrace for for the area

1 Room was smelly upon arrival, had to sleep with windows open for fresh air. 2. Got chased out of the room like criminals during my stay after a mess up of booking confirmation letter informing me that my check out date was on the 20th, but the owner had already booked someone else to check in on the 19th. There was an apology for this mess but it is inexcusable.
