Bathrooms were modern but door was broken so wouldn’t close

Almost everything. It’s a 4 sleeper but only 1 two-seater couch and 2 patio chairs! Grocery cupboards are so high my over 6ft son struggled to store and retrieve items No basic kitchen utensils - can opener, oven and serving dishes, salad servers, place mats etc. Bathroom door was broken and couldn’t close. Cushions on bed were filthy, I packed them away

There were options in terms of places to have breakfast and amenities

I didn’t like the lounge area, it was very dull and boring. Also when you say the apartment accommodates 4 people at least ensure the lounge can be able to cater. We found ourselves taking turns just to sit and relax in the couches. The TV channels was the worst of them all, no options to be able to be entertained considering it was raining most of the days. We opted to use social media instead of TV. Also the R2000 deposit, I find myself begging for my own money which I find it very weird. No communication whatsoever in terms when and how to get it, as a guest I must run after the agent to get my refund back. I cannot even comment about the host or agent as I only interacted with before travelling. It is self catering, at least provides us with decent pots to cook not cheap pots that are burned already and you call it a 5 star. It cannot be a five star, I can give it a 3 star rating.

The agent didnt explain how things worked , when we questioned why he needs our ids he was rude. We had not been to Zimbali before. He could have done things with a different approach

The suite is in a nice place. zimbali is really beautiful and we enjoyed the walks in the forest

We could not enjoyed a lot of the nice facilities because it was closed. I understand it but then the owner should have let you know or asked less to hire the apartment. The apartment is not actually self catering. We could not use the remotes it did not have batteries and we payed R4300 per night
