A beautiful property with wonderful hosts and staff. Amazing location and one of those properties that go the extra yard to make sure guests are both welcomed and comfortable.

The appearance, cleanliness and location of the property was excellent and was obviously well maintained and full of character. The room was well equipped and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was very nice and staff were excellent. The owner was very pleasant and welcoming and gave us lots of information about Buxton. We would definitely stay here again when we visit Buxton.

Warm, friendly and locally informative reception from our hosts. Clean, warm, very comfortable, well-appointed rooms in excellent condition, comfy beds. Friendly staff, nothing too much trouble, a happy stay and a good breakfast.

The tea tray in the room was full of an interesting and varied selection of all types of tea/coffee you could wish for. We were delighted to find a facecloth with the towel and it's hygienic that they were on our beds instead of hanging in the bathroom. (I've got a "thing" about my towel being near a toilet.) The guest house overlooks the Pavilion Gardens and the lake, which meant we had a panoramic view. It was within easy walking distance of the Opera House, which was great, as we had booked for two shows. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of jams for the toast. The traditional English breakfast was mouth-watering and plentiful - even the sausages were tasty, which is a rare find nowadays.

There was nothing I could fault the guesthouse on. If I had to pick something as a desperate measure to find a fault, it would be the stairs - perhaps not suitable for someone with serious walking difficulties.

The location was excellent for our theatre trip with wonderful views of the Lake. Very clean and comfortable, breakfast was brilliant and the waitress in the morning was charming and attentive.

we liked the character of the house it was very relaxing.we loved the location.

we personally didn’t find the beds to our taste but having spoke to other people they thought their beds were good. it is everyone’s personal taste. if we came again would’ve booked a lower floor.

We didnt like the room, felt very claustrophobic , didn't like having the window shut through the night due to fire escape, would have preferred a different room which all looked more spacious, felt like we was in the attic

We had a lovely stay at the Roseleigh. The staff were very welcoming and helpful, rooms were comfortable, the location is excellent. The breakfast was really good too. I'd happily recommend this to other travellers looking for a base to explore the Peak District.

No major gripes. I could hear some of the other people staying in the hotel but it's not often older hotels like this have modern sound proofing. I still had a good sleep.
