Staff were helpful and friendly. It was easy to use the council car park outside (free parking on a Sunday), but I would recommend having the RingGo app for ease of use. Comfortable bed and a bright and shining bathroom, which looked as though it had been re-done recently. It was an easy walk to the city centre.

Our room smelled of smoke even though it was meant to be a non smoking room. It was quite noisy outside the room and I would assume it was near a generator. There was a good choice of food at breakfast, but breakfast was busy and there was some delay with staff replenishing the buffet, which meant we weren’t able to have some of the options. My friend commented the coffee was lukewarm both days at breakfast and we heard other people complaining about this too.

Don’t be put off by what it looks like outside, it’s rather unfortunately situated in a council car park.

Room small with just a skylight and air con not working. Dinner very basic for price.

Great location with a short walk into town. Plenty of parking. Hotel has been recently refurbished so everything is fresh and clean.

With one or two exceptions staff didn’t seem very engaged no real enthusiasm.

Great spa and gym, good location. Good size room with all you need for a short stay.

The smart TV did not work, we reported this and had an apology and compensation.

Great location, good value, friendly staff. A piece of cake and card to mark our wedding anniversary.

One of us found the bed uncomfortable. the spa got tub was out of order and workmen were repairing the steam room door which greatly impacted on the overall spa experience.

our favourite place to relax. the hotel facilities are lovely staff are all polite and courteous. food is delicious. bedrooms are immaculate and modern. even when functions are on your stay is not interrupted. a short walk into town if you want to venture out.

The Hotel was being refurbed. Reception & Bar area were beautifully done, however we didn’t see any other parts of the hotel.

Couldn’t get the aircon to work, we arrived late so didn’t bother asking to get it fixed, however it did make it difficult to sleep as it was so hot 🥵. Mattress was very soft & bouncy - I was disturbed every time my husband moved. Window blind let lots of light in. Don’t think this room had been refurbed yet.

Amazing spa facilities, breakfast was plentiful but unfortunately the cooked buffet breakfast was luke warm and boarding on cold, our room was the comfort double and it was perfect, you can tell it has been newly refurbished, lovely nice with everything you need

We paid for a later check out until 1pm, to hear that another quest was given a complimentary later check out until 12, so that was disappointing I could have saved myself £25

Bedroom and Spa. Very clean in all areas. Close to the town. A nice restaurant with good service and lovely fresh food. Safe car park for our car.

I wish l could have stayed longer. Time didn’t allow. I would have liked more time in the Spa, Sauna and Steam Room. I didn’t have the breakfast, it was too expensive for me.

Well-located and clean, convenient parking and nice staff. Kind reception lady let us check out an hour late and one of the guys explained how we can save on parking fees over the weekend.

Can’t say that service and facilities were of a 4* hotel. 3* at best, limited breakfast options with things not refilled promptly (had to ask even though there was still 30 mins left of breakfast serving time). Room service was slow, with the kitchen forgetting to serve breakfast at indicated time to the room. The facilities, althought renovated in places, are quite old and are in need of a revamp to maintain the 4* mark. Nothing bad overall, just little things that hinder the experience in places.

The rooms were excellent. My family were able to use the swimming pool, which was a great advantage. The nightcap we had after the meal in the lounge area was really good.

We had a meal in the restaurant on the first night of our stay. The food was unfortunately indifferent, and when asking if we could have a childs portion for one of the meals were told that this was not possible, which meant the portion was too great for our 7 year old granddaughter, and half of the meal was wasted.

The spa was excellent. It had a decent size pool, a jacuzzi, steam/sauna rooms and a relaxation room. It was a very calming and chilled out space and was incredible value for money

The spa did get very busy later on in the afternoon, so if you didn't have a chair, it was a bit annoying. A few other niggling factors in the spa, e.g. no fresh towels in the spa area, not that many hooks
