for a 4 star hotel in Singapore, I would have expected more. sorely needs an update, only one restaurant and the food is less than average, and expensive at that, when you pay $8.00 plus tip for a cappuccino…and $110.00 in dinner for one ( one glass of wine) , rack of ribs gave me 3 spareribs and gluey mashed potatoes!

mostly everything! especially for the price and I realize that Singapore is expensive, but it’s ridiculous! also who puts a large sunken bathtub exactly 2 feet from your bed, in the middle of the room, and the toilet just another 2 feet away! good luck not tripping over the edge with large rocks that surround the bath tub when you get up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom! doesn’t even make sense from a design perspective!

The room is large, contemporary, luxurious and well appointed; tub overlooking the city view. Large bathroom.

The whole hotel is a bit sad and mainly used for weddings; very far by foot or cab from the centers of interest for a tourist in Singapore. Renovated but a little bit tired already. Staff OK but not super warm or especially welcoming. Breakfast room a little drab. Management is very stiff. Overpriced at 280€/ night (not including breakfast), not the best deal in Singapore. Balcony in the room should clean (not accessible).

The property is in a very convenient location surrounded by lovely parkland and a short walk to civic district, orchard road, museum and art gallery. The pool was lovely too. The bed was very comfortable.

The room was weird… with the bathroom incorporated in room taking up lots of space. Also balcony (ground floor) was not useable as neighbour also sitting there. Hotel buildings desperate for some maintenance, sadly. To go for a pool swim, need to go through reception and up to level 2 then outside and down to basement 3 for a towel and then back up to pool… bit strange.

The hotel has a charm to it, but it's not 5 star. It's a charming 3-star at best.

Breakfast is terrible. The selection of food is pathetic, the coffee machine at breakfast AND in the room was broken. Singapore is known for great food, but this hotel is an embarassment to Singapore serving a poor spread like this. 5-star no way. If they day they are 3-star I will accept. Also, the room is not professionally cleaned. 5-star hotels are very clean, this one had mound of dust on the bathroom poles, clear that it hasnt been cleaned or wiped down for at least 3 years. Disgusting!!

not a lot to be honest

the room wasn’t ideal - poor lighting, toilet not private, bed uncomfortable-pool towels 10 minutes from pool a maze to find. staff not experienced or good adequate English.

the room is uniquely designed, and is cosy.

the gym is pretty confusing to get to but all was ok because the staff were nice

quaint hotel near Fort Canning Park. comfortable and clean rooms. lobby smelled fresh and had a very nice scent :) staff were helpful, friendly and definitely tried their best to make our stay wonderful and acceded to most of our requests where possible! Dhoby Ghaut mrt and plaza Singapura was a short 10 min walk through the 24 hour linkway.

some facilities, such as the swimming pool and restaurant were pretty old. some of the lights in the room were not working, including flickering lights which were a little annoying. seemed a little short of staff, slightly longer waits for housekeeping. nonetheless, staff were friendly to help out as mentioned in my comment on what was great about the hotel. one thing though - check in process was a little complicated (was charged a portion of the final amount prior to my stay which was a little weird because the amount seemed random. but staff at the front desk promptly reversed it and charged us for the full amount at check in).

Location

Felt like the room was a concrete box, staff were somewhat cold and un friendly, no staff around to assist with towels for the pool. Breakfast was average and toilet was not covered by screen or proper curtains- just blackout blinds. Dirty room

It's a fabulous location and the room was great. I lost my watch and it was returned a day later.

The layout of the hotel is quite strange. We arrived early and sat by the pool but the bathroom and showers are in the basement in another part of the hotel and they were dingy and dark.
