Too crowded pool ( so we gave up to use it

Easy access to public transportation - we arrived by train from the airport. The hotel was just about 2 small blocks walking distance to the nearest train station. It was near to a lot of attractions: a seafront park, shopping malls and restaurants. The staff cleaned our room everyday without being asked.

The hotel can use some interior decor updating, which as they are currently, I would describe / characterize as “retro”. The exterior facade from the street looks decent and quite modern but the interior decor of rooms and corridors do not seem to match the exterior. The bedside console controls looked as though they were still from the 1980’s albeit still functional.

2 full size bed and one extra cot allowed my family to stay comfortably. Good size room for Japan. Free pool but towel and pool lounger cost extra. Entry staff always welcome and happy to help get taxi etc. Staff speak enough English. My luggage was checked in a day early and there was no charge. Shower pressure great plus soft water. Room was cold for summer which was great.

Located in the heart of Chinatown Yokohama and near the waterfront. Good size bedroom

Although updated since my stay three years ago, the building is getting old.

Hotel is within China town which made it convenient. The hotel is in an old building but was comfortable.

Tiny, uncomfortable smoking room

Our room was very hot that my kids(1&3) were sweating and very uncomfortable. We called the front desk and informed them the air was barely blowing out and the just brought us a fan. We definitely contemplated leaving and going to another hotel because it was hot. Definitely don't recommend to anyone if the temperature is above 22°C.

it’s a bit old. we stayed for 2 days and yet still need to pay ¥1,000 each guest to use the roof top pool.

Very big and comfortable bed, large room, convenient location just between the harbour and Chinatown

Small bathroom, antique equipment, access to the balcony was made impossible, the swimming pool is a trap : need to pay extra to access it, need to pay further extra to enjoy a deck chair. And for all this you get a rather small pool just big enough for kids to play (who ruin your experience) and an ill-tuned jacuzzi. Staff billed two pool accesses instead of one. Booked a double bed via this website and the confirmation received said twin beds. Hotel staff changed to double bed without hassle.

Location, if you like china town

We have stayed a few times and really liked it, this time they gave us a terrible room, looking out onto a rusty roof and a wall…. Also made us pay for parking for the first time ever, and breakfast price has increased, not worth it

The breakfast was good, but a little pricey at ¥3500 for basic foods. The rooms were great. Pool was awesome, would have been nice to get new pool towels each time as the towels would not dry in time to use again

location was very nice one female Japanese staff was really kind and tried to help even though hotel management is so poorly organized that she could not solve the problem .

when we booked Rose Hotel Yokohama it said that pool can be used by all guests . But when we checked in we where told by staff that pool can not be used due to booking through “ booking .com” while other customers where allowed to use swimming pool . Our little vocation was totally ruined since we chose this hotel because of the swimming pool . very very bad management , this is so rude to guests . I don’t recommend this hotel, specially if you book it through Booking. com we travel a lot and once we like a place we keep coming because we live in Japan , but this hotel for sure is OUT of our list and will never recommend it to others . mood is ruined . they should make a notice so customers know before they come . meanwhile looking for other hotels that we will definitely keep visiting this summer .
