Check in at reception. He, owner or manager, was using foul language when attempting to process payment with a departing guest in front of me. Bad look.

The location was good. The room was a really good size, with everything you needed. Fred was very helpful. The bathroom was clean, the shower was great. However, we were bitten a few times. It seems nobody now enters your room from you arriving to leaving. Except to change towels. There was a lot of dust about and dead insects. We also spotted a few ants.

Friendly staff, spacious room with comfortable furnishings. Cot provided for baby which was easy to use. Great location - able to comfortably walk to nearby attractions.

I loved how Fred looked after me, my friend and my family as we stayed for one night. Me and my friend attended the Whitianga Marathon. Me and my friend had to eave early in the morning to get to the start line. My partner and kids stayed while we were running. When I saw my parnter after the Marathon she said that Fred was really nice and polite. He was really helpful and generous aswell. We got a cot for our baby boy who is 3 months old and I asked if we could come back for a shower after the Marathon and I said we won't be back until after normal check out time and Fred said he will sort something out for us which he did. We come back and had a shower, this really helped us as me and my friend handed out the trophies and prizes to the winners of the Whitianga Marathon Event at their prizegiving. We went feeling well rested and feeling fresh. We can't wait to visit again, definitely recommend this place. It's also such a good price.

Good value for price, spacious 2 bed room unit with extra bedding in lounge. Had everything like a heater, fan, etc.

Next to roadside room, so could hear cars and people talk walking by.

It catered for entire family & more if we had guest over, comfortable. Location very handy to town, walking distance to everything very convenient.

Daughter and wife did not like the 2 cockroaches walking around in the kitchen, gave them a freight. Apart from this happy accomodation.

The bed was a bit hard, sheets were not pleasant and there was something hard on my side of the bed, maybe part of an electric blanket.

Nice quiet place, clean, tidy and perfect location. Great staff , staff went out of way to accommodate us on extremely little notice. $$ well spent.

Fred was so friendly with his care for customers. For my some requests, he has responded really quick and accurate.
