Plenty of space for multiple families to have their own space while enjoying extensive decks and comfortable dining/lounge area. Fabulous heating from freestanding fire. Well equipped kitchen! We’d love to stay again.

What a fantastic house for a big group. There were six of us ladies and we had plenty of space with our own rooms and plenty of bathrooms too. It was perfect for the dog with the estuary and beach being so close. The kitchen was very well stocked so preparing food was easy. Communication with the host was always quick and friendly. To top it all off we had wonderful decks to follow the sun around the house and the fire kept us cosy. Loved our stay. We'll be back!

We had a great stay here. We were a group 5yo, 8yo, mum, dad and granny visiting from overseas. We had one very wet day and they house was perfect to be in. We enjoyed the jigsaws, games and tv that came with the house. The downstairs granny flat was a perfect space for our visiting granny to have some quiet space when I needed.
Its a quick walk to the estuary which we all really enjoyed and a drive into the main drag with the smaller legs amongst our group.
House was clean and homely really well equipped kitchen and the decks were lovely.

We had such a good time in Whangamatā, the house was exactly as pictured & in a great location. Just a 4 minute walk to the beach! Definitely would recommend. Excellent size & configuration for groups.

Wonderful house in a great location - plenty of beds, and even additional mattresses if you need to sleep even more people. Alan was responsive to messages and last minute changes I needed to make, which made our stay very easy

Great property for a stay of 10 days for our large family group. All the facilities, space and resources we could have wanted. The estuary location is the quiet end of Whangamata, with access to estuary across the road and the surf beach a short walk away. We could all spread out across spaces - huge lounge, decks, downstairs unit and sleepout (with its own lounge area). Loved our holiday! Thanks Alan for great communication and responsiveness.

Lovely home in a fantastic spot. The only downside was the heat. Definitely needs air conditioning. Very difficult to sleep due to humidity.

We absolutely loved our stay, lots of space for adults and teens to hang together as a family, or when you need a bit of time apart! The home was very clean and comfortable and has everything you need to enjoy a holiday at the beach. No dishwasher, but that’s what teens a for right :) Alan the owner was fantastic to deal with, I’ve already booked again for our next trip to Whangamata.

The 2 story house was perfect for our family of 4 adult couples.
Awesome having 3 bathrooms. My husband and i had the downstairs flat, which had a kitchenette, and open plan lounge, dining, bedroom. This also had a bathroom in it. Another large bedroom downstairs with separate bathroom/laundry. There is also a sleepout, which would be perfect for a larger group. The house was bright, clean and tidy. The fire kept us warm and cosy which we loved.
Easy communication with the owner. We hope to stay again 🙂

Bad weather when we stayed but plenty of fire wood to keep the bach nice & cosy. The bad weather also appeared to have forced rain & debris under the downstairs doors. Nice new double glazed ranch slider doors had been installed upstairs - but the builders hadn't tidied up that well after installing them, but nothing that a quick vacuum couldn't fix. Overall a very good stay again

The house was great. Tidy and well maintained. The main living area was perfect for our big group. The fireplace was an awesome treat and heated the place really well.
Easy walking distance to the beach or the shops.
We all had a great time and would definitely consider coming back next year.
The only issue we had was with how the rooms were listed. A little more clarity on that would be would have been nice.
Excellent communication from our host helped with that however and they were even so kind as to post us a couple items that we left behind.
Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great place to holiday in.

Loved our stay here. Place is quirky lay out down stairs. Perfect for a couple of familys with kids. Good for adventuring around the estuary. Quieter part of Whanga. Will hopefully stay again

We loved the location after doubts it would be too far away from main street and Beach Hop action. Estuary great for paddle boarding. Used free shuttle to Whanganui Club. If couples booking beware only five separate bedrooms. Owner fabulous to deal with.

We had a great weekend and we’re lucky enough to have fantastic weather. The house is nice and roomy and accommodates a family very well. Location is great, walking to the beach and quick car trip to town. We would definitely come back and stay😊

We had a lovely time at this property with 6 adults and 2 infants for 3 nights. Has everything you need with Plenty of space for everyone, ideal bedrooms for portacots! Lots of deck space.
The downstairs bathrooms could do with a bit of TLC with no vanity (use washing machine tub) but is at the beach so that’s fine worked well enough :)

It was a lovely clean big house around the estuary side….all good ,the only problem I had was the description of it having 6 bedrooms which isn’t very accurate.there is 3 bedrooms in the house and then there is a granny flat downstairs.the sleep out is a converted garage with no seperate bedrooms it has a queen bed and a partial wall with bunks behind it which is fine for parents with little kids but not appropriate for 2x married couples!….anyway,it had everything we needed,nice balconies,nice and clean,just double check the sleeping arrangements before you book

Love staying here, it is our regular go to in Whangamata as caters well for just hubby and I or the whole family and allows us to take our dogs which is a big plus!!

Myself and 4 friends/family booked the Bach through bookabach for the weekend to attend a Wedding 💑. Had the most amazing time have fallen in love with the Bach and Whangamata.
