Transfer from the port is expensive, no possibility to take the bus.

From the greeting to the departure, every interaction was exceptional. The view is stellar. Their recommendations for food, catamaran cruises, places to visit we're perfect. Highly recommend. Markozannes and his staff are true professionals.

The views over the caldera were breathtaking, with a lovely plunge pool at the edge where you could soak up the sun and the views. The breakfast was delivered to our balcony every morning and was enjoyable. The cocktails and food were very nice (when available - details of this within the next section of the review). The property had direct access onto the coastal footpath taking you into Fira (approx 30-40 mins) in one direction and into Oia (approx 2.5 hours) in the other direction. There were lots of restaurants in the vicinity. 24 hour reception availability was reassuring. They assisted us in booking a catamaran tour and arranged a taxi for us when requested.

We booked this stay in Santorini as our honeymoon, knowing that it would be the last week of high tourist season before accommodation and restaurants shut down for the winter. We accepted that there may be fewer restaurants open etc. What we hadn’t expected is for the hotel to be shutting down around us, making us feel unwelcome and in the way. Whilst we were sunbathing, there was the sound of drilling in the background as they were putting up the wood protection over the windows of all the rooms. We were leaving on the Sunday but found out on the Friday when we went to order a drink to enjoy by the pool that the bar was now closed for food and drink entirely. At no point when we booked or when we were there did anybody consider notifying us of this - given we had ordered food at lunchtime most days and had cocktails / beer / wine daily, it may have been helpful to have been told. We were offered no discount or compensation to account for the fact that the facilities we had paid for (bar etc) were no longer available and no apologies were made by the staff. This put a significant dampener on our holiday - which was our honeymoon! - and for the last 2 days we spent as little time as physically possible at the hotel as it was not an enjoyable or relaxing place to be. Very disappointing. If you are planning on going to Santorini near the end of the tourist season, avoid this accommodation and go to one of the nearby places where the bar/cafe/food was still available!

The staff at Iliovasilema were outstanding, nothing is too much trouble. We were on our honeymoon and got upgraded which was very special. The location is beautiful, with stunning views of the sunset over the caldera. Lots of restaurants and bars nearby with views as well. We took the bus from the Port to Imerovigli, it was a bit of a pain wheeling our suitcase across the cobblestones but the staff will carry your luggage up/down the stairs for you when you arrive. The breakfast is very good, order the day before and it's delivered to your room at the time you like, so you can enjoy the view. We had a late flight and were able to store our bags after check out. There was a living room that we could use which had books, toilet and shower so we could chill and wash before our flight. Could not fault this hotel, the pool is beautiful and private hot tub was amazing. I would definitely stay here again.

Fridge in the room didn't work that well, drinks not that cold but you could order from the pool bar menu anyway.

Great hotel with amazing caldera views

This hotel is in a very nice location in Imerovigli. Amazing view from our room, nice restaurants nearby, and a little shop where you can buy water and other stuff. The hotel staff was so helpful. They helped us to arrange airport transfer and the sunset cruise.

Excellent location at the highest point in Santorini with fabulous sunsets overlooking the caldera and Skaros rock. Staff is superior and very responsive to needs. In room drinks and dining were great with reasonable prices if one wishes to stay in after sunset. 30 minute walk to Fira on path just below hotel and about 2 hour walk to Oia.

The hotel could use some more awnings or umbrellas for shade although wind can be an issue for such devicess.

Gorgeous view from the balcony and the pool, the staff were all extremely friendly and helpful, breakfast on our balcony was a lovely touch, all the food was so fresh, absolutely loved our stay!

Bed was against the wall so could only get out one side, not really an issue but might bother some people

the sunset views were worth every penny - much better watching the sunset on your balcony than fighting in nearby restaurants. the area is ideal, walking distance to the centre but quiet enough for peaceful mornings and evenings. the staff were always on hand and attentive, nothing was too much trouble

The staff were absolutely amazing, so friendly and helpful. Our room was lovely, the views were great - best view of sunset from the island. Really nice location. Would highly recommend.

Everything was exceptional! The view from the room was incredible along with the pool. Staff is so helpful and attentive all the time. The breakfast was perfect and delivered to your room balcony. We did NOT want to leave this incredible hotel

The welcome from the staff was very warming and they were very attentive throughout our stay. The room was fantastic, the pool was lovely. The view was unbelievable and the sunsets were the same. We had a wonderful stay here.

I booked the junior suite and they gave me the normal smaller room. tried to cheat me as I complaint thru gave me the room I originally booked for

Amazing location, beautiful hotel and very friendly staff.

The location is amazing, it is in the dead center of everything. The view is superb. The staff makes the entire experience enchanting. I rarely write reviews... but when it's this good you can't hold out.
