Excellent setting, like a fairytale. Lovely historic buildings, tasteful mix of new into the old.
Room was a tiny bit dated. Some of the facilities were not available (eg the Bistro), but since it’s a small place, it’s understandable. Overall I also think the hotel could make visitors more aware of the history and details of the amazing property.

Excellent location and superb rooms, fabulous and unforgettable stay! We lived for 8 years in Kettwig in the past and we can strongly recommend this unique Hotel, especially for family vacations!
The breakfast is offered in an elegant and fantastic restaurant; as it is charged per person/day, if you have a family, it is not value for money for the everyday use.

Had a parcel delivered to the hotel which arrived after we checked out.
Hotel forwarded the parcel at their service to my home address, abroad.
Extremely good costumer service!
Good parking facilities.
The fireplace in the entrance hall was on in the morning but not in the evening.

The toiletries was lovely scent and great quality. As always, the buildings architecture is wonderful. My 3rd stay in this venue, first time during summertime.
Unfortunately coming in summertime, our block where we were allocated our rooms had complete air conditioning failure. With over 35 degrees, it was so hot and it made each night quite difficult to sleep. We weren't getting a clear answer and solution from the staff which was not so ideal. They said we could move rooms after the 1st night, but in the end, this option wasn't provided as apparently the a/c was fixed. So, we gave it a chance and we tried to stay but it was still not fixed. By that time, it was too late in the day to shift. Moreover, kettle was not working. The fan that was provided didn't work because the plug points in the room was not working, so we couldn't turn on the fan either. It's a shame because I am a big fan of this hotel actually. I would have expected quick resolution and a level of accountability for this high quality hotel from customer service.

Had to book 2 rooms for my family and one was on a completely different floor and part of the hotel! Also was very hot in the older room.

A perfect and romantic place. Very comfortable and luxury rooms. Attentive staff in restaurant.
Male receptionist could be more friendly. Menu in restaurant 1831 is limited and dishes are to expensive for a non- Michelin star restaurant.

the location, the food, the room, and staff were excellent
no one told us there was an elevator which we could have used. on checkout day, I had to carry down our luggages via stairs. it was rough and tiring as well as dangerous.

The property is nice and charming. Not much to do though as it’s a bit isolated and doesn’t propose many activities.
Not really kids friendly when it comes to food (no kids menu at all, oblige to work around with Wiener Schnitzel and Nürnberg “breakfast type” sausages… for our 2,5 years old son… a bit too few for 3 overnight stay I would say.
There were some parties / wedding ceremonies happening which is perfectly fine. Nevertheless, we would have appreciated to be made aware by the staff upon arrival and to understand subsequent limitations.
For example, we did book tables at the restaurant for every evening (3 evening), and we were told arriving at the restaurant on Saturday evening that the menu was fixed and not à la carte tonight as they were busy with the parties and wedding. It’s fine if there are limitations but it’s not ok, according my to us, to get informed when we arrive in the restaurant.

The Five Jumeirah Village is a amazing hotel
with stylish rooms and friendly employees.
I’d like to highlight the special rooms with jacuzzi or pool option, which add great fun to the stay.
I have stayed in the jacuzzi suite on the 48th floor. So I enjoyed the stunning view towards Dubai with a cup of coffee from the in-room
cup machine regularly.
The public pool is very nice and there is even the option to commute to the Five Palm by free shuttle and enjoy the beach. The gym is stunning and would even serve as stand alone facility.
Shout out to Shruti Chaval and her team for keeping the place to well maintained.

The breakfast was perfect, the presentation was great, and ensured that during these Covid 19 time that each guest got a what they needed by delivering everything to the table, fruit, cheese, meats, eggs etc....what more could you ask for?
The bed was a little small in a hotel of this quality, super king is what I would have expected as standard.
