The room was spacious with a dining table and small kitchenette. There was kayaks and SUP to use for free and a private swimming / tanning area across the road. I think they also had bicycles to use included too.

The bathroom had no ventilation. We came back one afternoon and they were inside our rooms testing or fixing the fire alarm without notifying us.

Spacious and well planned accomodation including a lovely balcony. The location is wonderful and so close to the mountain train and the lake ferry and yet peaceful. Best of all the views are incredible.

The local shop closes at 5pm on Saturday and doesn’t open until Monday. Would recommend stopping at the Spar in St Gilgen if arriving by car. There is a coffee maker. Filter papers were provided but you have to take your own ground coffee which we hadn’t because we didn’t know what kind of coffee machine it would be. An entry code was given on the instructions but no information of how to use it. A member of staff was on hand on our arrival but check in did take a little while.

This hotel with it‘s balcony and amazing views of the lake and mountains (room 102) will stay in our hearts forever. Ms. Leifer was the very kind owner, and told us a lot about the history of the area and her family owning the property for hundreds of years. She went out of her way to make us feel like part of the family. We had a locked room to store our bicycles and a washing machine for guests. The family has a private dock/swimming area just across the street, and lots of swimming towels, boards, and toys we could use. After a hot day of cycling, a dip in that gorgeous lake was just what we needed. We were greeted with free snacks and delicous chocolate cake slices. Afterwards, we went for a walk in town (5-7 minute walk). It was the cutest Austrian old town we‘ve seen, with many narrow passageways and beautiful old buildings. After our sightseeing tour, we picked up supplies at the tiny grocery store and headed home. Our room was actually an apartment with a kitchenette, so we fixed our charcuterie board and had a lovely dinner on the balcony with some good local Austrian wine as the sun was setting. Perfection. The large historical room had lots of nice touches, with good bedding and plenty of storage. While the property doesn‘t offer breakfast officially, they do offer a bread service, which was very convenient. Also down in the pretty common area was complimentary spreads and butter for the bread, and coffee for a small fee. This was more than enough breakfast for us, and the best part was being able to spend a little more time on that glorious balcony. We could have stayed for a week. Many, many thanks to the Familie Leifer for their kindness and hospitality. You live in a little slice of heaven.

Everythings was fine.

Where to begin! Online check-in was smooth and our key was ready upon arrival. Parking on premises. Room was extremely clean, bed was comfortable, kitchenette was well equipped. Bathroom was spacious. Area in front of the house right on the lake, equipped with water sports gear (SUPs, boats), accessible for swimming and lounging in the sun as well. Leisure room for family activities in the house was also great. It seems like they thought of everything to make you feel at home. Wonderful restaurants walking distance. Train to go up the mountain also a few meters from the house. Boat to St. Gilgen and other parts of Wolfgangsee also very close by. We were sorry to leave so soon and will plan our next visit soon. Late check-in is possible and convenient. Free Parking on site. Location is great: Five min walking to the Schafberg steam train station Ten min walk to the city center Great balcony with a view to the lake. A private beach across the road. Beach Towel were supplied and some water stuff was available for guests use (sap, sea mattress and chairs. there is an elevator from the parking.

No breakfast (bread service is available and there is a coffee machine). However, no fridge in the room for storing breakfast groceries. The toilet and bathroom doors did not closed smoothly.
