The room was a very good size with a comfortable bed, tea / coffee, TV etc. Breakfast room was very pleasant, and breakfast was well prepared, although I do prefer buffet style, but it wasn't a big deal.

Parking was poor, and I think the hotel could have warned us they had a function on that night and suggested alternative parking as the car park was full of dinner guests. My shower didn't work brilliantly, it was either piping hot or freezing cold.

I’ve been to some tired places, but the decor here was exhausted. it took 5 minutes to draw hot water first thing this morning. Then, the shower didn’t want to drain. The bed was hard and you could feel the springs in the mattress. The whole place was grubby.

Breakfast was a good full English with plenty of choice. The location was great for the NEC.

Very friendly and knowledgable staff. Room was dated and needs refurbishment. The only win do ow in room 24 was a velux window, so no outside view, which was a little confining.

Booked 2 nt stay fwhilst working at an exhibition at the NEC. 1st night ruined by a water leak in the bedroom that was discovered at 2am! It had been leaking for a while as there was a hole in the wall hidden by a box on top of the wardrobe!!! Tried to find a member of staff but no one about. Tried again at 7am still no one. Had to phone to manager who was in bed asleep to the report issue. They agreed to move us to another room,apologised and gave a partial refund for the 1st night.

I enjoyed everything about Haigs, comfort, location, hospitality, and great value for money. Will be returning next year. Highly recommend.

The staff are really friendly

It was very tired looking, curtains hanging off, shower didn’t work, not cleaned properly looked like just had a quick flick over, dusty and dirty around the edges, dirty marks on the bedding

room 16 took 15 mins to sort the shower out every morning. nighmare either freezing or boiling

Close to the railway and so very easy to travel to events at the commonwealth games. Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean and comfortable room. Good to have a fan available as we were not able to sleep with the windows open. Plenty of tea and coffee etc, and plenty of parking. Very good value for money

Shower was a little erratic, both in temperature control and the flow of water which came and went... we mastered it though. The road outside the hotel is quite busy, and we found it too noisy to have the windows open as our room was at the front of the building. With the windows shut however it was very quiet, and a fan was provided which helped with the heat. If the owners are updating at any time, a slightly bigger TV would be welcome.

The room was run down and in dire need of cleaning. There were stains on the wall, cracks everywhere and the whole room just generally felt dirty (to the point where I even rang a few other local hotels to move to which were all unfortunately full). The shower was also pathetic as the pressure was effectively nonexistent. There was also a constant loud rumbling noise that kept me awake (sounded like a boiler) and my room overlooked the skips which absolutely reeked meaning that I couldn't have the window open.

I genuinely did not enjoy one aspect of my stay other than it was fairly close to where I needed to be for work. If other hotels were available I would have asked for a refund and left immediately.

They were able to cater for me and my daughter, despite us having intolerances. The restaurant was quiet and spacious.
